I went to Kopi last time I was in Portland and just had to visit it again. I love their unique concept of blending southeastern touches to their coffee flavors. Their kedai susu is a MUST, you won’t find it anywhere else in Portland (or maybe the entire west coast). It tastes almost like a chai latte but more coconut-y.
They have a seating area but their hours are really limited. Everyday they close at 2pm so it’s not really meant for afternoon studying. Parking in this area is hard so you better hope you get lucky with street parking.

only con is that sometimes it’s too hot in here to hang out. but that’s it! everything else is wonderful.

What a delight! Ducked in out of the rain (though the outside spot under the tree was perfectly dry and cozy) and found a fantastic time. The ube latte was exceptional. The staff were also super friendly and knowledgeable about their menu and products. Such a warm, welcoming space.

Local coffeehouse with a unique menu of lattes and pastries. Something different in a good way. Service was prompt and courteous. Will return when in Portland again.

The coffee here is stellar! They pull great shots and their fancy drinks are also delicious and not too sweet. Absolutely love this place!

I’ve been coming to Kopi for over 2-years. I love their coffee and the fact there are so many non diary options. My biggest challenge with Kopi as of late has been the service and the lack of consistency with the taste of the beverage. There have been several instances where I’ve ordered the sweet cream latte and each time it tastes different.
As for as service is concerned, just last week I went to Kopi and had to wait a considerable amount of time while the barista made a friend for drink and talked about very personal issues. And to be fair the issue wasn’t that the barista was making a drink for their friend, it was lack of attention to other customers while they chatted making other wait. And couple of weeks before that I had to wait 15 minutes for a drink because the person taking orders was not using a proper system to take down orders and I wasn’t the only customer waiting.
I really love Kopi. Hope the service can be as consistent as the coffee because I really love coming here when everything is on point.

Got the honey mocha latte hot. Def recommend although a little more on the sweeter side for my coffee preferences these days. You can ask for half sweet if needed. :) Great ambiance in the shop and a good amount of seating in their little basement area if there aren’t spots up by the front. They also sell beans that are really good for making coffee at home. 👌🏼
