Delicious waffles with options for healthy toppings. Café de Olla was a nice treat on a cold Fall morning!Loved Waffle City! Café de Olla was a new experience for me: Pot coffee mulled with cinnamon and a touch of brown sugar. I don't usually sweeten my hot brown morning potion, but this was quite reviving after exposure to the frosty morning autumnal breezes. Honolulu Waffle was delightful with fresh slices of bananas, strawberries and kiwi fruit along with giant blueberries, all topped with a honey sauce. Good with or without whipped cream. (We had one of each.) Very friendly service, small enclosed dining area and a few more tables on the outside patio, with additional seating on colorful picnic tables at the street where the space might once have been wasted on curbside parking. Bike there, bus there on Trimet route 4, or walk the Mississippi Avenue district. Lovely!

I love the food cart vibes with the resturaunt seating. Surprisingly I loved the burrito more than the waffles and I was expecting to like the waffle more given the name. But I will say that the waffles are executed with more finesse - like the flavor combos are interesting. The burrito is a burrito, but I would be devastated if the burrito wasn't on the menu. New mexico breakfast burrito ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - was the perfect size, like actually sizeable - had this with bacon - eggs were perfectly done - didn't love how fatty and chewy some of the bacon was Georgia peaches and cream ⭐⭐⭐✨ - my main gripe was that it was soggy - didn't eat this immediately admittedly, has this after half a burrito, but it was a tiny bit too soft for my liking - the peaches were super sweet - sort of like canned peaches? - the waffle was filled with filling which set this apart for me, it's not a waffle you could easily make at home - it was definitely more creative than the burrito though, and executed with more finesse.

We walked in and were greated by a warm smell of home cooking. I got the chicken burrito and the jalapeno poppers. The burrito is big, the flavors have a well seasoned and creamy taste and the onions are slightly undercooked which add a nice crunch. The cream cheese has some flavor, there are some other cheeses with spices. The horchatta is good. The people are friendly and genuinely appreciate the customers.
