This might be my new favorite sushi restaurant. They have grilled octopu, which was amazing. The agadashi tofu was great. They did have a solid grouping of vegan rolls and vegan dishe, including a ton that were not tofu based. The shishito peppers were spicy and delicious. The cocktails had so much detail that sounded a bit odd but actually turned out so good. The spices margarita thing and the fancy old fashion were great selections by me. The service was impeccable. I honestly can't say anything bad even if I nit picked.

Best sushi, atmosphere, and service in Portland. Happy Hour until 6 is a very nice touch. I was absolutely blown away by the attention to detail, quality of ingredients, outstanding service, and selection of creative dishes. I cannot wait to return.

Momoyama is a hidden gem in the Pearl District, the best sushi place in Portland. My husband and I went here for our Sunday date night to have dinner 8/13. This sushi restaurant has posh atmosphere, have vegetarian and gluten-free options, spacious interior and smells clean, I emphasize the smells clean part cause I've been to multiple sushi restaurants and some of them have a gross fishy smell and sticky table that puts me off and I always walked out without even trying the food, but Momoyama has nothing like that, you will definitely notice the cleanliness of this restaurant. Joy is a sweetheart and her food recommendation was great. Every food we ordered was so scrumptious that we indulged ourselves in ordering more than we can eat so we have leftovers to bring home. Joy carefully wrapped our food in a to-go bag which I had it for my lunch today and it was still so good. Momoyama is now our favorite sushi restaurant and we are glad that it's just a few blocks away from our place, so every time we crave for japanese food it's just a few minutes walk. I told Joy that she will be seeing us often, my husband and I will be regulars here from now on. I highly recommend this place, it has everything you expected in a great sushi place, posh atmosphere, delicious food and excellent service. Next time we'll go here for lunch to try their lunch specials.

Momoyama was a fantastic dining experience. A little on the pricier side, but the quality of the fish and the presentation was outstanding! The nigiri has smaller rice patties to allow the fish to shine through. I had the Jamison roll which tasted wonderful. My only complaint would be the truffle was not needed and detracted slightly from the roll, but it was still excellent. In addition I also had the okimari toku-jo sushi (12 pieces of nigiri, chefs choice) and that was epic. Not a single issue. Delicious 🤤

This spot is fantastic! The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. The sushi is so fresh (I’ve been multiple times since I first stopped in two weeks ago) and delicious. The atmosphere is a calm, relaxed vibe. I tried the salmon crispy rice, nigiri (tuna & salmon), The Lobster, Momosan, The Keeper (weekly special).

Very very delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive, without being over bearing. I sat at the bar and saw that the staff prepared everything with love and care. The background music was also right up my alley. I wish I had gotten a roll (they were huge!) but that will have to be for next time I'm in. Only slightly negative thing I'd say is that the potato I got wasn't bad, but was a little bland. Will skip it next time. The nigiri was delicious and good sizes! Looking forward to coming back <3

All around beautiful experience. And while the food itself was amazing, the service provided by our waitress Rachel was outstanding! Get this girl a raise y’all! One the best customer service experiences I’ve had. She gave perfect food and drink recommendations, and has the best personality! She’s a keeper, we will be back just to see her again :)

If you want a little slice of Japan in Portland, OR, look no further than Momoyama. Lovely ambience, top notch service, quality food. What more can one ask for. It will come with a price but not unreasonable. It sets itself apart from the competition that offers teriyaki as their draw. Must visit.

Our expectations and standards are pretty high for sushi, so quality and ambiance we tend to go to our usual place. But today I wanted to take a chancea and try something different for a change. I often don't like to gamble w/ sushi restaurants but today I felt risky. Parking was easily accessible in this area and we found parking right across the street at 12:00pm on a Saturday. There was plenty of parking available, so I am not sure if that's just by the area or we were just lucky. Seated immediately by a friendly hostess, with our option of a booth or a table and we opted for the booth. The ambiance was very relaxed, the restaurant was a lot bigger than we expected & the booths were huge! Probably able to fit comfortably 6 people, maybe more, but it felt like our own private section because we can't even see other people sitting in their own booths around us. Our server was David (or Dave) and he was very attentive and checked in on us, very friendly service and even provided recommendations on a vietnamese restaurant for me within the area. He was attentive but was not overbearing and we did not feel rushed at all. Ordered: Japan Sake Flight & an IPA on draft (not pictured) Uni Pasta Korean Chicken Chirashi Bowl Dragon Roll & Momosan The Japan Sake Flight was good! We been enjoying tasting a variety of sake so this was just enough to let me try 3 without committing to a whole glass or a bottle. Uni Pasta had so much flavor to it with its butter and garlic. Would recommend. Korean fried chicken was good but it could've been better if it was spicier. Chirashi Bowl, Momosan and Dragon Roll - Fish was definitely of quality, presentation was nice. Everything just tasted very fresh. So with the quality of good coupled with the ambiance, relaxed atmosphere with great hospitality - you cannot go wrong with this place. I definitely have to make my way back for their omakase experience. Total bill (not including tip) was about $156 and we were pretty stuffed and we are still stuffed hours later. This place has definitely moved up on our list as a go to sushi restaurant. Also they're JUST down the street from an ice crea place called half moon... :)

One of the best dining experiences we have ever had! A beautiful combination of unique and tried and true... We spent 90 minutes in awe of the flavor combinations. It was truly an "experience." The chef was super nice and a creative genius. Would definitely do the Omakase again!
