Really good mocha and café al pepe in a bright and beautiful space downtown. ☕️ The breakfast croissant sandwich was crispy, flaky and delicious. The ham egg and cheese English muffin was tasty but a bit soggy inside... Service was friendly but not super outgoing and we had to wipe our own table of crumbs... So... 5 star coffee/croissant and four star service and English muffin.🤷🏻‍♂️

A darling cafe that serves chocolate squares with every hot beverage. The building itself holds quite a bit of character, and there are drinks on the menu that I haven't encountered anywhere else.

Had a latte and a breakfast sandwich from the cooler. It was definitely made in house and just packaged for efficiency. They toasted it up since I was staying in and it was super tasty. Great decor. They gave a little chocolate along with the latte.

I got oatmilk hot coco. It's not overly sweet, but it's still got a nice rich coco flavor. You can tell they use real chocolate and not the dry heaving nasty fake chocolate syrup stuff. The character of the environment. Is classy, elegant, and sharp. It feels like your in some nice luxurious getaway. For all the non-Portlander's you'll be happy to know this place isn't weird. It's quite normal, just a nice normal. They're even playing oldies music! The service is exceptional, as well. They know how to care for the spoken and unspoken needs of their customers 10 out of 10 recommend, based on this 1 experience.

What a great atmosphere in this beautifully designed interior situated on the corner of Broadway and Madison. The macchiato was perfection and the added squares of chocolate were a nice addition. The staff was friendly and helpful.

We really enjoyed having lunch here. The lavender latte was really good, as well as the espresso. There are several sandwiches to choose from, including some vegan and vegetarian options. Love how the shop is laid out with plenty of seating options.

I work nearby, so I stop by occasionally in the morning. They have super tasty breakfast sandwiches! The only coffee I've had here was the cold brew, which was great. Staff if nice and helpful.

Seriously the best place in Portland. Such warm and welcoming service, and the atmosphere is amazing. The windows face the East and the sun shines through in such a wonderful way. The seats are in great spots by the window, more central and outside. It's fun to watch people come and go. Ordered a honey latte to start and went for a second, honey with a dash of lavendar. Superb. I was delighted to find out they have a selection of gluten free pastries as well!! Thanks Umbria!

Solid place to have an italian-like breakfast with cappuccino and cornetto. I'd have liked more options for the croissants, they only had plain ones and a pan au chocolate (which they could have filled a little bit more to be honest). It is obviously overpriced for one that is used to this kind of breakfast in Italy, but 9 dollars is a standard price in the US so I wouldn't complain, especially because you're going to pay more if you go to the famous chain and it wouldn't be this good. 7.50/10 for me
