A new sushi restaurant has opened in Portland and let me be the first to tell you how good it is. Beautifully presented rolls that taste as good as they look. They had low priced specials available for lunch and the prices were reasonable over all. I recommend you give it a try!
We had an amazing experience at this restaurant. At first the unusual space and style of service was offputting but we were quickly put at ease by the incredibly fresh and beautifully presented sushi. The food was incredible and the experience truly unique. The focus here is on the food. Everything is served in to-go containers and drinks are BYOB. It’s casual and the meal came with delicious add ons that were not on the menu. Highly recommend and cannot wait to go back.
repeating what another reviewer said - the chef ( that was the only person there today so also our server) appears to be on the autism spectrum - knowing this in advance might help you (we learned reading during our meal). As you'll read below - our experience was excellent. Excellent sushi with lots of surprises. surprises listed in order 1 - upon entering it didn't look fully built out yet (two picnic tables and a beautiful sushi bar with a few seats) 2 - warmly greeted and our party of 3 took a picnic table 3 - menu seemed a touch pricey - but the other reviews were good so we ordered a sushi bento, a roll bento, and one roll 4 - things started arriving - much more than we thought we ordered (salad, sunomono, miso - all delicious) and then the two bentos 5 - more suprise items - arrived rice balls, nigiri pieces 6 - the highlight - the garlic albacore roll - super delicious - highly recommend sorry I didn't take photos - next time
