Shalom Y’all is quickly becoming a favorite of mine in Portland’s Inner Southeast. The menu showcases Eastern Mediterranean flavors, and the salads and hummus we tried were spot-on. But the real highlight was the grilled lamb—easily one of the best lamb chops I’ve ever had. The atmosphere is intimate, making it ideal for a date night. Dim lighting and candles add to the ambiance. If you’re looking for a dining experience that offers both flavor and atmosphere, Shalom Y’all delivers on both fronts. Between the top-notch food and the cozy setting, it’s easy to see why this spot is gaining popularity. A heads-up: the place is popular, so making a reservation in advance is a good idea.

Such delicious food! The fries truly are exceptional. They are perfectly seasoned and an ideal texture. The horseradish yogurt + beet ketchup that comes with them is so unique and delightful! We all loved the hummus with lamb as well. The house made pita is a delicious bread pillow. We tried the Shalom Y’all Plate (not pictured) and enjoyed getting a sampler of many of their items. The falafel were truly standout - maybe the best I’ve ever had. The chicken shawarma was a bit disappointing - chicken seemed dry and it could use a sauce/more flavor. But everything else was outstanding so I just wouldn’t order that again.

This has become our favorite restaurant in Portland! We have been twice to the previous tiny location across the street from Tasty n Alder; and usually there was a long wait. This time, the new location is much bigger and we could make reservations the day of. Food is amazing, quite tasty, and great for sharing across the table. Everything we tried was incredible, from appetizers, to main entrees to desserts. And every time we have been, it seems to get better and better! Just beware of the train tracks when getting there if coming from downtown Portland. There are ways to get around it though.

The food tastes exquisite and delicious. And elegantly presented. Some thoughtful use of spices create the unique tastes for each dish. The service is very friendly. The servings are rather small — we shared a house mezas plated and a chicken kebab, but most people would want two dishes per person. Affogato in Turkish coffee was a nice desert - I prefer it in espresso, but the ice cream was very good.

Had a chance to dine at Shalom Y'all in Meridian recently. The food's pretty good, although you might feel the pinch with the prices. But hey, sometimes you pay a bit for the ambiance, which is genuinely cozy and welcoming here. Just a heads up - it's close to the train tracks. While some might find it quirky, others might not be fans. Either way, if you're in Meridian, it's worth dropping by for a bite.

We went last night and got a bunch of different items. Everything was super delicious. We had one issue with one item but our server Kyle was super great about it and we continued having a great experience. Hummus was amazing, chicken shawarma was incredible (even the next day cold for lunch). Even with a little bump in the road we will be coming back.

Family style eating in a cute and cozy spot. It's a bit of an open kitchen concept so you can see some of the food being prepared. Almost feels like your at home eating with family. The food was amazing!! Went for a work team dinner and we all left very pleased. The guys wanted to go back for more of the lamb!

Delicious fare and such a cool vibe. The staff is friendly and the cocktails were too notch. Cheers! The neighborhood has interesting furniture stores around and isn’t far from the river.

I wish i could give this place 5/5 stars but I wasn’t fully satisfied with my food. Cinnamon was used in 3 meals out 3 we ordered and it completely overshadows the flavor. Although waiters are polite and it looks good inside

Really great experience. Airy, rustic, welcoming atmosphere with professional and courteous waitstaff. The dishes, you could tell, were expertly crafted, lots of care was put into designing and choosing the best ingredients possible. Everything blended so well together, each ingredient complimenting the other perfectly. The only downside, not a big one really, was that my partner and I got our dishes at fairly different times, so I had to wait to get my meal while my partner had already gotten their salad. Other than that, everything was really well done.
