Good food...a bit bummed by the environment. A few upgrades in seating and decor would go a long ways in here. Our wobbly table and crammed seating made me feel like I should have showed up in sweat pants. I was dressed for an evening out and felt very OVERDRESSED. This is a jeans and Tshirt kind of place... needs a facelift!!

Tojo is hands down one of the best KBBQ restaurants in Portland, and even outshines LA establishments. The quality of the meat here makes the price point easy to accept. The tongue is the best, most tender beef I’ve ever tasted. You rarely have to wait very long for a table, and the staff is fantastic. The soups are next level, the appetizers and sides are out of this world, and I love that they have Mexican coke available. Anyone who gives this place less than 5 stars has absolutely no clue what they are talking about.

Like many other reviewers - all I have pictured is the aftermath of our feast. It was our first time visiting, and five of us polished off five plates of meat and sides - and left satiated and full. It was so fun to barbecue our own dinner, try the different sauces and side combinations, and laugh at each other trying to eat with chopsticks. In order to enjoy the all-you-can-eat bbq (trust me, you won't get through as much as you'll think you will!) everyone in your party needs to order that, and your first go-round you'll order four meats. For the size of the table, four is plenty when you add in sauces per person, and five small plates of side items such as kimchi and pickled radish, along with your own personal bowl of rice. We tried the brisket (fan fave), the Toji Chicken, beef bulgogi (also a favorite), beef short ribs, and skirt steak. For larger parties we recommend securing a reservation ahead of time so they have the correct size table for you. We'll definitely be returning in the future!

This is the aftermath!!! It’s the first time I’ve been back since the pandemic started. It’s still good as always!!! Hands down the best Korean Grill in and around town. They have great portions, at a great price. They also have a better selection of meat, no other Korean BBQ place in town has. The service is always great and friendly, even on the busiest days. Just be a little patient on busiest of days. They are running their butts off. I highly recommend and for sure will be back. I’m glad they made it through the pandemic and still thriving. Shows how great this mom and pop place is. Come support your local business.
