Our holiday party at the Nightwood was fabulous! The venue was beautiful, comfortable with an elegant feel. The food was delicious and the staff was very attentive. Additionally, I will consider using their private dining area for a small meetings or gatherings in the future.

I had my company's annual holiday party here, and it was absolutely stunning, the flower arrangements were so cute, some of us including myself took them home. The food was delicious and there was plenty for everyone, the drinks were divine. Just the whole atmosphere was so warm and welcoming. I would highly recommend this venue. We had an amazing time, people from work are still talking about how fabulous everything was.

I was there for a weekend pop-up market and it was absolutely beautiful. I regret not taking picture of such a breath-taking, open and natural event space. There were massive and gorgeouse bouquet that were perfect for the season. The amazing Owner was there and she was passing out fresh baked goods that she made herself. Definitely a place to visit or book with if you can. I will definitely be using them in the future.

Carrie and The Nightwood Society team are an ABSOLUTE DREAM to work with! Our original wedding reception venue closed 9 months before our wedding date. We wanted a more intimate feel to our wedding and one of our top three important things was the food - it had to be great & accommodate a number of food allergies without our guests with allergies feeling like they weren't getting a great plate of food (think soy, dairy, gluten, tree nuts, vegan & vegetarians, etc.), which is how we found The Nightwood Society. We are from the Portland area but currently live in another state. Carrie made planning our wedding reception from afar easy, low stress, and in manageable pieces. She was up front what her staff could do & what we would need extra help with and gave good feedback on our ideas. The food was incredible - people are still raving about it. The menu was seasonal and we were able to tailor it to reflect us and what we love about the PNW. The service was above & beyond. I run events for a living and was super impressed with how professional and warm the staff was the entire event. They guided us through the evening, kept us on track, and let us enjoy each other, the food, & the space. Let's talk about the space. Our wedding had just under 60 people and they had enough tables, chairs, & service ware for us, which meant we didn't have to work with additional rentals. Everything was mix-matched and cohesive - it felt like being at a trendy family member's house for a holiday. Their event space is beautiful and the patio area provided a great space to cool off. It was what we didn't know we wanted in a space until we were in it. Overall the Nightwood Society exceeded our expectations, we only wish we could have stayed longer! A big THANK YOU to the amazing all-female staff absolutely killing it in the event management business. Photos: Corrie Mahr Photography Floral: Lindsay Helzer

The Nightwood was the perfect place for us to hold our wedding reception of 35 friends and family. The staff excelled at everything, from the initial planning and timing of the event, to the big day when everything went off just perfectly. The food exceeded all expectations and was the hit of the party! We would definitely recommend this staff, space and cuisine! Thank you so much for your part in making this night so memorable for us!

Excellent planning and organization! The Nightwood Society event planners, Carrie and Leah, recently hired us (Portlandia Fortune Tellers) to provide entertainment for a wedding reception. The event was quite lavish, and ran very smoothly. We had great communication with Carrie and Leah leading up to the event, and everything went very well at the reception. We very much enjoyed the entire experience of working with The Nightwood Society for this event, and look forward to working with them again in the future! If you are planning an event, we would recommend them highly!

We held our wedding ceremony and reception at the Nightwood and would absolutely recommend working with them. We had an amazing time and that was largely due to not having to worry about anything. Working with the Nightwood was a wonderful experience. Our whole focus for the wedding was trying to keep it low-key and Nightwood not only made that possible, they went above and beyond to help us do that and did it at a price that was much lower than any other option we looked at. Nightwood also put us in touch with excellent photographers and a farm for bouquets and wildflowers, and all the vendors they put us in touch with were super helpful and just lovely. Leading up to the wedding Carrie was informative and quick to help and we did not worry about anything on the actual day. Carrie and Leah were wonderful and we both appreciated how helpful they were. The food was another huge highlight--it was amazing (we both wished we could have slowed down more to enjoy it). A large percentage of the people there grew up in Alaska eating halibut and said the halibut was cooked perfectly, I personally am going to try to track down the snap pea and burrata recipe, and one of my friends owns a highly regarded bakery in Alaska and told me that was the best food she has had at any wedding including her own. Nightwood made what was already a special day perfect and we are so grateful. We cannot recommend working with them enough.

In love!!! We had the opportunity to see this space for a private event and it's absolutely awesome! The food was delicious. The service was fabulous! And the story behind how it's owned and operated is so great! We love seeing other women-owned restaurants, because they are right: "The future of food is female!"

We had our sixth annual client appreciation party and selected The Nightwood as our venue. It is a beautiful space, attentive and fantastic staff with delicious food and drinks. Apparently our clients enjoy a good cocktail as we did run out of the tasty bourbon cocktail but aside from that it was a wonderful experience. We would absolutely consider using this space for our party or any other special events. - 155 Adults, spread out over four hours - Roughly 15 children - Semi formal - Cocktail party style event with a few low tables and five stand up tables) - Photobooth (we rented outside company but they have photobooth options) - Three passed appetizers and one food station with meat/cheese boards

What can't these awesome group of ladies do!!!! have been to a high tea, shopped at an all women's makers fair, watched Thelma and Louise while sipping wine and hosted my corporate Holiday Party which included aperitif tasting and a tutorial on how to make a perfect cheese platter - hint: local honey and salami flowers. Each experience has been unique, beautiful and perfect;y tailored for the crowd. They are--clearly-- my go-to place for a memorable experience...
