An incredibly friendly and comfortable place with great service and even better food. I had the chicken curry katsu and the kisaragi roll, and they were both excellent choices. The staff is cheerful and helpful, offering good suggestions when asked and chatting with customers like the folks at a good local restaurant do. If you find yourself in this part of town, definitely try this place.

I had a bento box with Wagyu beef teriyaki and Chicken teriyaki. The beef was better than the chicken. I have to say that it doesn't seem like these meats are marinated at all in the teriyaki sauce like they used to be in the 1970's. These days teriyaki sauce is merely placed on top of meats. It's just not as flavorful as it should be when a meat is marinated overnight in a sauce. With that said the meal was better than anything you can get in Texas. I wish they would put as much work into these items as they do sushi.

A quaint neighborhood restaurant with quality food. The portions are a good size for the price and the food is really tasty! Not pictured was the pork katsu curry which was too delicious and devoured before I got to snap a pic lol. definitely would visit again! Really delicious.

Sho turned out to be a delightful place to meet up with a friend for a refined, delightful lunch. I had the chicken katsu bento box, which was everything I hoped for, plus it came with something I've never run into before - a light potato salad that I really enjoyed. Access to the parking lot can be a bit tricky, depending on traffic. Fortunately, you can get into the lot on either the east or west side of the building - the west entrance is farther from the intersection, so there's less likelihood of being blocked by eastbound traffic waiting for the light. The other access issue that I encountered was that the restaurant's web site is blocked by my security software. Not sure why, but checking the menu before my visit was a challenge. The atmosphere at Sho was also just what I wanted - quiet and calming. I find that this really adds to my enjoyment of a meal.

Lovely and authentic Japanese restaurant. I wasn't expecting to find this at a place on Barbur next to a round table pizza! We've been to Japan 3 times and I can tell you that the staff were speaking Japanese. The food is very good and authentic, and the prices are quite reasonable. I do like they have a parking lot, which is something that you miss out on when going to Murata (although they have a paid garage) or Masu downtown. We'll visit again soon!

Yoo! This place is now on the top of my list for sushi and drinks. I love that they have weekly specials, a very nice bar and variety of selections. It got busy very fast but the service was still great. You can go here for sushi, udon, ramen and drinks and alot of other dishes. I especially love the seafood ramen 😋 10/10 would go here again.

Wow. I didn't expect the quality coming out of here! Everything was very tasty. The black garlic ramen was the best I've had in a long time. The fish was excellent and on a short list of local sushi restaurants where I truly love the nigiri. I can't wait to go back.

Very fresh! And although the sushi selection wasn’t very large they had some unique parings. My wife and I decided to come here for her birthday and we were not disappointed. I ordered tuna (yellowfin) and salmon sashimi and my wife got a roll. The staff was friendly and welcoming. But what really did it for me was the presentation and the freshness of the fish. We will certainly be back
