I adore this place! Visited bc I was getting a tattoo across the street and got there early, so happy I checked it out! They have some very cool flavors of teas in bags and loose and well. They also have a spot where you can order some to try!

We had a Smith's wellness blend with turmeric and black pepper at high tea at Abigail Hall. We needed to know instantly if we could purchase. We made our way to the actual shop to pick some up. The teas are amazing, such great quality. The staff was also super nice and helpful. I will definitely be back to do their tea tastings they offer in their shop!

Amazed! I just begin ordering teas here in May. I have had orders shipped to me in Alaska.. While visiting Portland, I realized this was the home of the brand. I was pleasantly surprised! Worth the visit. Great tea varieties to taste on the spot or to purchase. I've already placed another order to be shipped.

Hard to imagine finding such an upscale establishment in the heart of the industrial Central Eastside district, but this is one portion of the city that has continued to surprise me of late. After a long afternoon of playing with the little one at OMSI, a refreshing cup of tea (iced or otherwise) was just what we needed, myself ordering the former (an iced Exceptional black) and my wife the latter (a cup of Autumn Leaves). Sitting on the elevated patio on what is likely to be the last of the sunny afternoon weekend days this year, sipping our tea and enjoying each other's company, my wife and I contemplated our infrequent consuming of tea, and how that is something that needs to be rectified, for both our enjoyment and our good health. We both agreed that a change was in order, and some tea was promptly purchased, in the hope of shaking up our nightly pre-bed rituals and hopefully ushering in a new era of deep, restful sleep. Although some of the loose leaf can be ludicrously pricey here, the quality is top notch, and any teetotaler would be wise to shop here first, instead of settling for some off-shelf bagged nonsense.

I am having my first cup of their tea with my cousin in her Portland home. Wow. Phenomenal cup of wellness… “Golden Light” a turmeric blend that has just the right balance. I’m getting a subscription!

I have to be brutally honest. I happened to have their peppermint tea in my hotel and it was THE BEST I've ever had. So I needed to go buy some. I decided to try several other teas while I was there and I was incredibly disappointed. That said, the atmosphere, the people, the presentation were amazing! The prices are good too. Call me picky, but I wish they had actual sugar or honey instead of syrups and creamer options. Those aside, I was terribly unimpressed with the teas I selected. Was it my choices? Was it their blends? I couldn't tell you. But as someone who has tea from literal global travels, I tend to know what I like and usually find a tea that is good... That aside, seriously, the peppermint tea IS AMAZING and WORTH it. And everything else is delightful. So my tastes aside, check it out!

Amazing tea house! We got the tea flight, and the employees were super helpful in recommending us teas they thought we would like based on our flavor palates. The presentation and whole aesthetic of the shop is super cute as well. They also have a bunch of tasty treats like macarons! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good cup of tea, but tea lovers will especially appreciate the care and special touches Smith Teamaker adds to every experience.

We love supporting this local business and location for the ambiance and openness to shop and enjoy their tea. As a bonus you can watch the packaging of tea happen in the background. We are a huge fan of their teas and look forward to visiting to see the limited edition teas they are offering. If you’re visiting town and looking for a local gift I’d recommend checking this place out. The parking can be a bit of a challenge as they have only several spots in front of their location but there’s street parking available.

Have to add new pics from today’s birthday visit with my friend. Her first time there. We had a blast!! And fab service again by Cedar!! Last month: A wonderful Mother’s Day treat. Thoughtful menu with lots of options. Service was super friendly and efficient. Teas are always superior and bakery choices enhance the experience. Appreciated the gift of flowers and 25% off any products!

Stopped into Smith Teamaker for a late morning cup of tea with a friend and a snack to start the day off with. We had a great time— baristas (are they still baristas if it’s not coffee?) were not only friendly but also informative! If you need help finding something to order they’ll help you get where you need to be. The tea itself was terrific. I tried their black lavender fog as a latte on recommendation— delightful little twist. I also got a glass of their blackberry jasmine tea before leaving. Again, super tasty and refreshing. Snack wise, I tried their marionberry pop tart, and it’s probably a good thing I only bought one because I’m pretty sure I could have put down about eight of those things. We sat outside— there’s a nice little veranda type deal, just take note the train may be going by just a half block away and can be extremely noisy. Overall though, great experience— for sure coming back in the future.
