A fun breakfast spot in the Pearl with relatively easy parking. You order at the counter from a unique breakfast menu, hand written on scrolls of butcher paper hanging on the wall. The service is quick, the lattes are strong and the food is beautifully prepared and presented.
Amazingly tasty food. Perfect portions and friendly service. This is definitely my new breakfast spot!
Today DC was good had good classic eggs benedict and excellent latte ... The problem with DC is they are always changing thier menu and is never the same week to week ... Today rate "B+"
Blue Cheese Burger. I asked for it rare and they served it well-done but otherwise it was excellent. The side salad was over-dressed but the dressing was very, very yummy. The beef seemed to be really high quality and if I knew where to find the brioche buns they use I WOULD HAVE THEM NOW. All in all, a pretty amazing burger. Lovely little cafe. Excellent Burger. DO IT.
Great service, great food.. We got the prix-fix brunch. Started out with a delicious Arabesque Parfait and fresh fruit in yogurt. Then moved straight on to two huge plate-sized pancakes and eggs Florentine. Everything was photo perfect and gourmet delicious. Couldn't finish the ample pancakes and topped it all off with a nice tiny sweet espresso. I am a pretty picky eater and this town has impressed me with its fine dining with professional service at reasonable prices. Coming from San Francisco for the weekend I am humbled and overcome (ok, that's too dramatic) by how well Portland eats. I look forward to a hasty return.
I used to work right next door and would frequent this place almost daily. They have a selection of baked goods that never let me down. Although I live in los angeles now, I still make a trip here when I visit Portland. Sunday brunch was a big hit with my family, which says a lot since we all have very different tastes. They were serving Illy coffees when they first opened which is my all time fav, but whatever they're serving these days is decent as well.
Solid fare. I have had my saturday morning breakfast sandwich here for about 80% of my saturdays. Gentle atmosphere, good background noise, and wonderfully fresh fare.
It's really a good place. Even the vegan items are very well done. I did not like the Brussel Sprouts but it's just a sweeter way of making it that's not for me. But the crunch on the food was solid, the flavor was great, and the dips (even the vegan ones) were so tasty. It's a nice relaxed open atmosphere with great detail and plants. Back to the food, the Jojo tower was so good! The sandwiches were huge and quality ingredients. Even the tofu was tasty which is impressive.
Still the best Southern style fried chicken sandwhich in Portland. I’ve been telling people this since trying the food truck years ago and finally got around to trying this newer brick and mortar location. The food came out within minutes of ordering.
Crispy, flavorful with a fantastic butter bun. The jojos have the perfect amount of crisp to them. A bit more pricey than I think it should be but it’s worth to have once in awhile. The location is pretty chill. Nothing too crazy.
Great food, excellent service, loved the ambiance. I'm a sucked for comfort food... but Jojo's took my chicken and mashed potatoes to the next level with taste and crispy brussel sprouts. The ginger cookie with some kind of citrus icing was amazing. I'm not usually into desserts but since it's unique and not too sweet, I loved it. I also tasted some kind of spice cake (hubby's) .. that was Amazeballs as well (see picture).
Our first time at JoJo's. The food was incredible. They have a bar with liquor, beer and wine. We have a vegan in our family and it was so cool to have 1 side of the menu to be completely vegan friendly. The sodas tasted ok. Kids thought they had too much syrup, but they might have needed to mix them more. I'd say typically priced for this part of Portland. Definitely a good experience and will definitely be back.
What a beautiful spot to eat, we shared a little of everything and LOVED it all. I'm picky/like to try new places and this is a place I will come again when I visit! The server today on 10/26/23 was amazing, I appreciated the good vibes! The foliage was so impressive. I took pics for my own home decor inspiration!
One of my favorite meals I had visiting Portland. The fried chicken sandwich was perfectly balanced between sweet and savory and the coleslaw gives it an acid that is exactly what the sandwich needed. The burger was smashed and the cheese was melted perfectly. Sauce compliments the burger along with the lettuce that is shredded thinly. The pumpkin cinnamon roll was the right amount of sweet and took the meal over the top.
Really cool place! I got the chicken and waffles was probably the best I’ve ever had. Then we also ordered a the Brussel sprouts. All I can say about them is OMG! They were so freaking good! Even if you don’t like Brussels I would bet money you would like these!
They had great beer and cocktails to choose from as well.
Check it out!
We enjoyed our food but it was expensive. Two sandwiches and one side of JoJo's and it was 50 bucks. But it is the Pearl District so it's to be expected. That spicy chicken sandwich really is quite spicy but enjoyable.
Man oh man, do I have things to say about this place. I was so sceptical of a Sandwich worth $16 but I’m so glad I was wrong. We got their spicy sandwich as well as the potato wedges and I absolutely LOVED the flavour profile of their food. It’s complex, it’s cooked to perfection and their sauces are great compliments with their dishes. We were well fed and very happy with their service. With 2 sandwiches and a side it came up to about $20 per person and it was too good. I’ll be back again and again♥️♥️
I found this place accidentally, but who dies the go into a place that shares your name? And they have gluten free options! I inadvertently pooped in at happy hour and had Brussels sprouts and Jojos , which was A LOT of food. I went back the next day for the spicy cheeseburger 😋. A cool little place that does dine in and take out. GF and vegan options. Great atmosphere, good music, friendly staff. The food is fresh and tasty. I will make it a point to stop here any time I’m in Portland.
