Matt's Bbq

I think Matt’s takes the crown for best BBQ in Portland, best I’ve had yet! Brisket is like butter, so soft and seasoned simple but to perfection! The hidden gem is the cheese and jalapeño sausage, so succulent and delicious. Mac and potato salad not too shabby either. They have tons of sauce options but idk why??? Two guys were super nice as well.

If you're in Portland and you like BBQ then a stop (or two..or even three...we won't judge) at Matt's has to be on your agenda. Arrive early as they sell out (for good reason). Not a bad dish on the menu, the burnt ends and brisket are musts (unless they are sold out), the sides are amazing (try the pinto beans, trust me) and make sure you add an order of the pickles. Great food, great space, great folks!

Just had an amazing experience at Matt's BBQ in Portland! The service here was outstanding. The staff was not only accommodating but also incredible knowledgeable about their menu. They help me navigate through the options and made me feel right at home. The ambiance is something special. It's like stepping into an authentic Texas BBQ joint with a find food truck vibe. The small restaurant with ample outdoor seating creates a lively and inviting atmosphere that's perfect for a causal meal. I tried their NC Style Pulled Pork Sandwich and it blew me away! The 1/4 lb of pulled pork was perfectly tossed int their tangy hob vinegar, and the combination of flavors with the pickles and slaw on a toasted bun was a true delight. It's the kind of dish that makes you savor every bite. Overall, if you're in the mood for top notch BBQ with a fantastic ambiance, Matt's BBQ is the place to be. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Something for everyone, we had one person in our party that does not eat pork so the Turkey sandwich hit the mark and was the best BBQ turkey sandwich they had ever had. The ribs were perfect, the sides were right on the mark. We had potato salad, cold slaw and Mac and cheese.. Would give more than 5 * if I could

I did not try the bbq myself since I am vegetarian but I did try the Mac n cheese and it was very good. The potato salad looked really good too. I was told the Sandwich was really good. Their sauces are all bomb too. So I would say they are worth checking out if you eat meat. Also the food cart ambiance is awesome.
