One of the vineyards suggested Castagna and we were very pleasantly surprised! We noticed that there were a few negative reviews and were a bit concerned but tried it anyway. The food and pairings were extremely quirky and unusual but in a very good way. This was the perfect place for an adventurous palate and we had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for great high-end yet adventurous restaurant in the Portland area.

The food was exceptional. It opened my ideas of food by having me taste combinations that I would not otherwise try. The steak bites with some spicy sauce was my ultimate favorite but the beets, radishes and mussels were a very close second. I will definitely try the other menu sometime.

By the numbers, 6 snacks plus 9 courses. $197 pp tip included. No tax in Oregon. A meal this extensive and celebratory of the season's bounties would cost you double in the world's major food cities. So, excellent value. I might add that each of the nine courses is not one or two bites tiny. Actually decent sized for full enjoyment. Loved the bread service with three different butters--miso, brown sugar, and lardo

Another restaurant in PDX that we chose based on reviews and recommendations. We were very pleased with our visit, the staff, and the outstanding food. The menu was well thought out and the wine parings that arrived with the food were great. We chose the full tasting menu and at the end we definitely had more than a sufficient amount of food (read stuffed - lol). This is another restaurant in PDX that I would return to on my next visit and highly recommend.

Love this place! Keep coming back every time I'm in Portland. People might complain about the price but for something of this quality in Hong Kong or Europe, one would expect to pay nearly double - especially if there's a Michelin Star attached. I wouldn't be surprised if Michelin came to town and awarded two! (I hope not though as that would jack up the price and might drive down the value as it does for many new restaurants that gets the "star curse")

Late winter/spring tasting menu was good but didn't knock my socks off (which it should considering the $$$$). Some menu items were standouts, particularly the desserts. Some were a complete disappointment, like the squab and beef. Service was great, as was the wine.

This is the best fine dining restaurant in portland. The tasting menu is fantastic (definitely go with the Chef tasting menu, you won't regret it). The service is friendly and impeccable, and the wine selection is amazing. Highly recommend going here to celebrate any special occasion.

Amazing experience! Everything was perfect - ambiance and Nordic elegant design, impeccable and educational service, impressive wine list, and unimaginably creative and tasty seven courses of tasting menu! Highly recommend and definitely will be back!

We got the Chef’s tasting with wine pairing and I don’t think there was one course out of 20+ that we didn’t love. Pretty pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for in terms of quality, some of the best food combinations I’ve ever had.

An impressive experience! The steak tartarre in the beet chip, the Salish Sea halibut, and the potato skin ice cream were all memorable offerings. All in all one of the best meals I've ever had.
