Shari's Cafe And Pies

I don’t have any pictures. We just went on vacation November 2023. First we had breakfast with Dana he was so kind and attentive. The food came fast and it was so delicious!! I haven’t had a good breakfast like this in a while. Scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns and pancakes so so good!! The following day (yes we went again) for dinner we had Dee serving us! Let me tell you she can give me a run for my money! She is the sweetest and funniest!! Didn’t even write our order & got it to perfection!! The dinner was so so good!! These two waiters deserve a very high raise!! The food is amazing and the pie is also!!! Thank you Portland for an amazing experience!!

The food was good, but the basic fare expected at a diner. I really like the hashbrowns with bacon bits and sourcream, though. The toast was not very good. The pumpkin cream pie was my husband's favorite thing. I don't like that we ordered the pie slice to share, and the waitress said she was giving it to us on the house. We left a nice tip in thanks. Later on, we found out that it was free pie Wednesday, and we could have gotten 2 for free with our meals.

We had DeeDee as our waitress, and she is a spunky little tornado! I mean that in the best way. My husband and I go out to eat often, and she is by far the best waitress ever. I bet she does circles around others half her age. She checked on us multiple times and was very pleasant. I look forward to visiting Portland again just so we can come back here and hopefully get lucky enough to have her as our waitress again.

I was recently in Portland for a business trip. Shari's was walking distance from my hotel. Due to its close proximity and actually had lunch here and then breakfast the following day as well. Not a bad spot. It was a little weird that they have a room in the back that is 21 up, I suppose for gambling. But we just don't have those types of things where I live so it's just probably normal there.
