I seek out Spella whevener I’m in town. This is as close to a European espresso shop as you can likely find in North America. Tiny, stand up sipping. None of this wood paneled 3rd wave coffee where the drinks and decor are the same from Bangkok to Bangor.

Absolutely the best espresso I’ve had anywhere in the US. I attempt to avoid coffee drinks as much as possible- my partner is the coffee person, however, I would love to start everyday with a drink from here. The workers are also always so pleasant and easy to chat with. A true gem here in Portland.

What a lovely place! A tiny coffee shop that is almost hidden in the downtown scene but you'll definitely keep coming back to it (like me) once you discover it. In a time when coffee shops look fancier and swankier, it's almost refreshing to have such a classic and unique place that sticks to its core, serving people with wonderful coffee, friendly service, and a small but delicious selection of pastries.

Truly one of the best pastries I've had (almond ring). Cappuccino was an actual cappuccino, so if your expecting a late, buy the late. Cappucciono foam was almost merengue like, super tasty. It's a unique stop that I can't wait to get back to.

Best coffee in Oregon. As we sit in shelter-in-place I am going through my beans I bought when I could no longer go to work. I miss them and can't wait till they are you and running again. Friendly staff. Tiny, but it's not s place to hang out; get your coffee, exchange a few pleasantries and go to you need another coffee hit. Oh, and they have affogados for when you are just having that kind of day.

I'm on a motorcycle trip across Canada, the US and Mexico and stopped here for coffee. Best almond milk latte I've had since I left Montreal 6 weeks ago. Charming, tiny coffee bar. Super friendly (and incredibly cute) barista. No tables inside but couple of small bistro tables outside.

Some of the best coffee I have ever had in my life! I seriously think about this coffee all the time. Each cup has a delicious, gentle taste with perfectly ground beans. It feels like I am drinking authentic European coffee. The resturant itself is very small with minimal seating inside or out. Luckily the coffee tastes great on-the-go too. Expect a decent wait, they make sure each cup of coffee gets the attention it deserves. A must try for any coffee lover and a great place to bring visitors.

Hidden gem in downtown with awesome tasting coffee. I had the latte and the foam was very creamy and the espresso was strong with no bitter aftertaste.

If you come to Portland and love espresso, this stop is a must-do. Small tight space, but you feel at home talking to the barista & cashier. They are knowledgeable and passionate. Patient with your needs. Even with a line this place is well worth it. It'll definitely energize your day.
