Have always check out Russell Street BBQ after going to Red Cross to donate blood. Excellent place to increase your protein blood levels. It never disappoints me with their pork spare ribs. Highly recommend it. Pork fat rules!

This place is awesome. Not much to look at from the outside but the smells emanating are definitely enticing. The staff was very pleasant and did a good job. The sausage, fries, and ice cream were fantastic. The dipping sauce for the fries was delicious and had a slight smoky taste. The meat was tender and also had a great smoked flavor. No need for any sauce but the different sauces were excellent. The fried chocolate pie had a decadent rich chocolate flavor. And our bill wasn't outrageously priced. Will definitely return on the next trip to Portland.

There were six people in our party and we all loved this place. It had a really great atmoshphere and I enjoyed listening to the Blues. Beer selection was great and the party enjoyed it. I should have looked at their cocktail menu better, but I ordered the Bridge-Town Manhattan and I was disappointed. I'm a Manhattan type of person, but this was really sweet.

Excellent BBQ place. This place does not get enough credit compared to other places yet I would say it is one of the best BBQ I've had in Portland, better than podnah. Their sides were also very tasty and their sauces are excellent. Overall would definitely go there when craving BBQ. Also there's parking in the back of street parking is a problem!

As a born and bred Texan, I am picky about my barbecue. I stopped in at Russell St on a business trip and I was blown away by the quality of their food. Their classic sauce is one of the best I've had. Their brisket was mouth watering and flavorful. The mashed potatoes were creamy and fluffy; the Mac and cheese was generous. I finished my plate and just when I thought it couldn't get better..... They brought me my "deep fried pie" with chocolate hazelnut filling. Holy cow. Game changer. I love this place. Definitely returning.

Had the 1/2 rack of baby back ribs with beans and candied yams. Some of the best BBQ I've eaten. Ribs were juicy and tender and the sauced complimented everything very well. 10/10 would BBQ again.

Solid BBQ with amazing cocktails and chill vibes. If you can, come a bit earlier for dinner and if it’s sunny, enjoy the tasty BBQ outside 🤓

Omg what can I say about this place other than you have to go here. There was a local event happening and we had to wait over an hour and a half to get seated because it was so crowded. We almost left but really wanted BBQ so we stuck it out - it was worth the wait. The food was so good and juicy. The staff was great. If you’re in the area this is a must eat place.

it’s expensive. it’s very, very good, but expensive. couple tables outside are a good addition but mostly indoor seating. an upscale take on barbecue for sure. MVPs: laurelwood draft, gravy (comes on the mashed potatoes), and pulled pork (just so tender, beautiful color, terrific flavor). mac and cheese needs a little bit of work to catch up to these others but it wasn’t bad by any means. would recommend if you’re ready to spend $20 on a plate of bbq..

First time there and it was really good! I got the bbq chicken sandwich. The bread/ bun was so delicious! The sides are $3 extra, I got mashed potatoes and it comes with white gravy, it was worth $3.

Good food but even better deals at happy hour. Pulled pork with sweetened yams were delicious! Pint of beer for $4. They also have delicious BBQ sauces.

Always delicious here. The owner is from Texas, though I never had Texas BBQ... I can say this is great. It isn't mouth watering, but definitely better than anything in the San Francisco Bay Area that I've tried. The meat is tender and juicy.. I got the beef brisket. And the beef rib is amazing with how the juices just flow and how it comes off the bone. The drawpack is that to add a rib it's about $8. Not something I'd do all the time nor a place I'd eat at constantly. The Mac n cheese and the potatoes with the corn bread is phenomenal. Highly recommend this place for people to check out, I would consider this a special occasion type place. The price was pretty high.. but I'm also just a starving college student.
