Nice coffee shop! It's located in the downtown, as part of the Ace Hotel. You can easily walk to Powell's and other popular spots. The lounge area in the Ace Hotel is a real treat, comfy couches and with an old-school photo booth for some fun memories. While the coffee and drinks are a bit on the pricey side, they're tasty.
Latte, Salted Maple Latte and Chai Latte were nice, happy to tried!
Interesting restroom design!
Stumptown totally lives up to the hype. I ordered their cold brew and it was such a cool experience to have it in person at the shop itself. I also ordered a bag of their cold brew which I have since brewed at home and it was almost as good! If you love coffee, you’ve probably heard of stumptown, and you should definitely try this place out!
First time visiting a Stumptown coffee roasters afters hearing about the brand pretty often throughput my life in Portland. I found the cappuccino to be pretty good, nothing outstanding and unexpected but just good! This shop is very small, meant for a quick in and out instead of relaxing inside. The music inside is also pretty loud so only go here if you want a drink and go on your way.
I was staying at Hyatt Centric, and found Stumptown was just down the street for a morning coffee!
I got:
-Draft Original Cold Brew $5.75
-Snickerdoodle cookie - Sparrow bakery $3.75
Coffee and cookie are on the pricier end, but the cold brew was perfect! I enjoyed the cookie as well.
This location isn't too busy, compared to the other downtown location. Staff is friendly, and there is some seating inside. I did enjoy the look and feel of this location for sure.
Street parking only.
Good coffee, patient staff.
The Ace hotel that this location is hooked to has a really cool lounge area you can sit and sip coffee ☕
I love Stumptown. The coffee, atmosphere, and pastries are fantastic. If you are going, check out the Mint Matcha and the pistachio crescent.
Mocha with whole milk was decent! Definitely gets too busy to comfortably sit down anywhere to enjoy your coffee, but to-go works fine. It's appended to a hotel lobby, but YMMV with that.
I visited here because apparently it's an iconic establishment in Portland. I'm not much of a coffee drinker, unless I'm absolutely exhausted, but it was chill just crossing it off my list. I don't know if it is worth the drive from out of town tho. Maybe make it a part of your day if you're exploring Portland instead because it definitely is hard to find parking. I parked near a hydrant, thank goodness I didn't get a ticket, just for this opportunity. I purchased the decaf ice latte based upon the recommendation of the worker there.
Chill atmosphere!
A small coffee shop attached to the Ace Hotel. You like fast service, knowledgeable baristas, and great coffee? Well look no further because this is your place. The seating is limited, but there’s more in the hotel lobby, with deep couches and a cozy loft.
Best in town by far! Lots of single origin coffee beans from various farms worldwide, mostly dorect trade over 10 years! Check for a single origin coffee, changes on a daily basis. Hot chocolate for kids for a $1 only for any coffee that you purchased. Free coffee for purchases of a coffee beans.
