I really enjoyed the beers at this brewery. They are definitely not following fads so you won't find a bunch of hazy IPAs or fruited sours (though their IPAs are still very good). The beers here are unusual and all very flavorful, I was especially impressed with the Adam beer and the smoked marzen. Atmosphere was casual and relaxed and the food was decent, but for sure the real star here is the unique beer.

I love visiting this place, great beer at even better prices. Been here a few times, the employees are always willing to help. no minors allowed which is a plus because a lot of places get loud when they are running around. Their fries are so good!

Great find on our latest trip to Portland. Enjoyed the bar area which is a deep wood countertop in an elongated U shape. They also have good space for large groups. We prefer the dark beers and we're excited about some of the unique offerings. Hands down favorites are the Fred Flanders and the Maja barleywine- Vanilla maple bourbon collab with Omnipollo, Sweden. Other bests were Kizuna Stout, between (smoked marzen) as it was truly unique. Also tried Bills Bitter, the English bitter which tasted more like an IPA or hefeweizen. Great times too, look forward to returning. Each beer I tried I thought was the best, until I tried the next.

Had been longing to visit Hair of the Dog and was finally able to do so (2019). Solid beers that nobody else is brewing and everything I love in big malty beers. We sat and enjoyed a handful of vintage beers and looking forward to returning.

Great (strong!) beers. Draft beers are very good, but make sure to check the barrel aged stuff. Food was quite good for a brewery. Authentic bratwurst sausage sandwich 🇩🇪

Good, strong beer and though I didn't have an actual meal, judging by the desserts, the food is large-portioned and delicious. Good service, and had high chairs. Beeramisu was good; would order again. Be advised: check the ABV first, and order small if you can't stay long. These beers don't mess around!

My uber drive said "if you like strong and unique beers" and suggested this place. He was so very right. I tried all their usuals and loved it. Food was great bar food too, went perfectly with the strong brews.

There is a great variety of beer here. Pictured is Hair of the Dog's "Last Witch". I didn't get a chance to try it, but my bar neighbor got some type of duck wings to eat. They looked and smelled FANTASTIC! Hope to revisit to try for myself.

This place is our Cheers, the bar stools have our butt prints and our favorite bartender Wendy knows our names. The beers are always amazing and if you get tired of the regular offerings there's always something fun "on the stone" or "on the wood". The food is hardy and delicious. Some of our favs are the Italian sandwich and the rotating deviled eggs. The weekly specials are often special trip worthy. Especially the ham and brie with apple sandwich. You'll wanna slap your mama.
