What an amazing place! Great selection of spirits, knowledgeable staff, exclusive service, and really cool atmosphere. The fireplace added a great scent and ambiance to the room. Pan-seared salmon was perfectly cooked. I didn't care much for the 'braised' cornbread beneath it, but whatever. It was unique. The meat board (charcuterie) was superb.

Went for work team dinner. Our reservation was accidently canceled (our fault, not theirs) but the staff went out of their way to accommodate our 9 top in the newly added back room which ended up being cozier and better for conversation. Our server was amazing all night, keeping up with our orders and correcting a couple of mistakes at no cost to us. He even offered to give first-time visiters in our party a tour of the main parts of the library.

One of its kind, Amazing Experience..... I was wondering what Library, truly one has to climb up the ladder for a huge selection of Whiskey from many countries..... The Bar tenders and Executives are very well versed with the Whiskey options.... I took a flight to American Whiskeys....

What a wonderful experience! From the very beginning everyone we spoke with was polite and accommodating when we ran into issues with our first reservation time. The workers have a great knowledge of the menu and beverages - we enjoyed everything we picked on our own and the suggestions from the bartender. Although we sat at the bar, I appreciated that they also have table-side drink carts where they make them real time for those that don't have a view of the bar. Absolutely will be back if we are in Portland again.

Date Night Approved: I had an amazing time at the Whiskey library. I visited while I was in Portland for a long weekend and the cocktails are excellent. The cocktails were served table side where was able to see the process of my drink being made. The staff are extremely friendly, warm and welcoming. This gem has over 1000 bottles of whiskey and a variety of other spirits. It’s a beautiful place for an intimate date night or conversation with friends.

Truly amazing spot. Rocked up at supper on a Thursday thinking we could stroll in, not understanding that the real deal is largely members only, with limited access for walk ins like ourselves. We dined downstairs in the beautiful membership-free green room and before we left the hostess found a spot for us upstairs in the library. Truly a unique beautiful experience as my husband loves whiskey. I was budget conscious and the bartender was kind and found something we loved that was affordable. Definitely highly recommend. As a note the hostess said if you don’t have a reservation or membership, come at 4 when they open and that’s the easiest time to get in.

Great cocktail program. Heartstoppingly large collection of liquors, particularly of course, whiskey. The knowledgeable staff will guide you through your overwhelm towards excellent pours curated to your taste. A must visit stop in Portland if you love craft cocktails or a rare whiskey.

This place was heaven for someone who loves whiskey or just a fire vibe. It definitely seems a little difficult to get in and get a spot but totally worth it if you do! Their old fashioneds and chocolate cake made my night!

Went with a friend who has a membership and was amazed at everything. Drinks, service, food. The cacio e Pepe cauliflower was delicious as well as the deviled eggs. I let the bartender create a whiskey flight based on little direction and a price point, and I was not disappointed.

Incredible ambiance and service. They have two sides, the side on SW Alder next to 1927 S'mores Company for the public cocktail bar The Green Room, and then the more discreet member's main entrance on SW 12th next to Petunia's Pies & Pastries. Vibes are immaculate and a lot more spacious and built out than one would assume from the exterior. Professional service all around while keeping low-key as to not rub off as pretentious, yet still classy. The selection (Library) as you would expect, is incredibly massive, but also extremely well curated and organized. Incredible to see Yamazaki 55 being offered at $3,750 per half pour! Didn't have a chance to try the food, but the dinner menu looked very tasty and will definitely return for a meal.
