My favorite pizza place in the world! Been getting pizza here since the 70's always great.
This was our first time ordering from here and it will definitely not be our last. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza that had what I would consider to be thin crust. It was amazing. It came out quickly, hot, and had the perfect amount of toppings and sauce. I can see and taste why this place is rated so highly! This is a cash only establishment so be sure to be prepared for that. I was unaware of that until I ordered, but thankfully they gave me the heads up. We will be ordering again for sure!
I’ve been disappointed with the pizza Kalamazoo has to offer, however… Pizza King of Portage hits the spot. The sauce is just a tad sweet and delicious, the pizza dough has a thin chewiness to it (If you’ve ever had an authentic Italian pizza you’ll understand). I can’t comment too much on the toppings as I keep things basic with a cheese pizza. Sometimes I’ll add bacon, pepperoni, onion and it does not disappoint! Incredibly affordable, only takes cash, no indoor seating, that’s how you know it’s legit!
Pizza King is always an amazing experience! friendly staff, premium products, wonderful pizza. This is where you want to get pizza! Born and raised in NJ, I know good pizza. We have been looking for a great pizza place since moving to Portage and this is the best pizza we’ve had by far! And super affordable prices! We will certainly be regular customers at pizza king.
I'm originally from Chicago, which is loaded with restaurants that have awesome pizza. I had pretty much given up on pizza after tasting Michigan's local fare until I shared a pizza with a friend that has a business next door to Pizza King. They have the best pizza in Michigan and while I live about 20 miles away, I pre-order a pizza and it's ready when I get there. *** Warning*** If you get one of their pizzas, you won't be able to go back to places like Little Ceasar's!
This is a place you don't go in for the atmosphere there is no dining it's a cash-only business they produce a top-three pizza of Kalamazoo. Its a Mom-and-pop business. Very friendly very professional. You literally have to order the pizza while you're in the parking lot and before you get in its pretty much ready. . Did I mention it's excellent pizza.

Pizza king is one of those rare local places who know what they are doing. The Pizza is really good here. They are very generous with thier toppings. The Pizza sauce is one the of the best we have ever had. The Customer service is really good and the entire staff is dedicated in providing the best possible service. Only thing to keep in mind is that they only take "cash". So, make sure you carry cash before you head to this place to avoid unwanted hassles. They are really respectful towards people who want vegetarian pizza or who prefer Halal/kosher meat. They make sure to use fresh gloves and cutter so that there is no cross contamination. Highly recommend this place to whoever enjoys something called a "Pizza"

Great thin crust pizza! Maybe even the best in portage. They only take cash and have a very simple menu, but it's honestly worth the annoyance. Definitely recommend
