Vela Kitchen

Been going there a few times now. I absolutely love the place! The staff are so friendly! José especially has made me comfortable! Every time I sit down to look at the menu, I always struggle trying to find something new to eat. José has assisted me on his food recommendations. Their steak that I get is better than any other steakhouse that isn’t $73. Their Truffle Mac and cheese is very strong but delicious. Calamari perfect including the sauce. After experiencing a lot with the service, I’d give it a 100 out of 10. I would grab every single person I can find to dine there. It’s was truly amazing of an experience for me!

Fantastic food and overall a great restaurant, but without WiFi, it made for a very frustrating evening. While I realize the owner may think that people should be focused on the food, etc… the restaurant experience in 2023 includes access to WiFi. I was in the restaurant for a business dinner with 8 people , but we already told the Admin who booked the space that Vela Kitchen is not ideal for business dinners as WiFi was not available, so its doubtful we will go again and/or refer anyone to this fine establishment. No Wifi = loss of significant revenue over time. Its too bad as the food and ambiance was very very nice, and I loved the cocktail menu and the brilliant menu.

We needed a restaurant to celebrate my daughter's job offer and selecting a restaurant for my clan is never easy. We need a broad menu to suit the tastes of our picky family including a foodie, a vegetarian, and a lactose intolerant, health-focused honoree. Everything went very well; our party of 4 enjoyed a lovely evening. The truffle popcorn appetizer was a surprise hit, flavorful and light. We also enjoyed the brussels sprout appetizer. Our entrees included a tasty version of lobster paella, seared salmon, sesame encrusted tuna, and a harvest bowl with salmon added. All the dishes were well prepared and nicely plated. We chose not to have dessert, but the options looked tempting. We expect to put Vela Kitchen into our restaurant rotation.
