I had my first encounter with Peruvian cuisine at this restaurant 4 years ago and I have been coming back once every few months. I also made a trip to Peru in the meantime and I think the food at Las Cholitas is very authentic. The place is never too crowded and it has a nice atmosphere. I could start naming all the delicious Peruvian dishes I recommend but it would be a long list... Friendly stuff and really good food. I will be coming back for sure.

This is one of our favorite Peruvian restaurants to go to. The food is usually pretty good. We've tried many of their soups and the flavor of the food is usually very consistent. We go to a lot of Peruvian restaurants in Dade and Broward. Las Cholitas is one of our favorites. It's so hard to find anyone in Florida who wants to work. Just remember, if your server hustles for you, TIP THEM WELL so they don't quit!!! I am so sick and tired of the turn over. The turnover is so rampant because of customers who don't do the 20% tipping. The foreign people are the WORST tippers. Those people are what make the good servers quit. If a server could make a good $700-1000/wk then you'd have excellent service every time you came in and the turnover rate would be next to nothing. When you tip $10 on a $100 meal just because you're a tightwad, you're doing a disservice to all of us who are patrons of that restaurant.

Ok so were expecting to wait because of the reviews but our food came out relatively quickly. Food was really good BUT, I ordered something with sweet potato, shrimp & avocado and it had 1 slice of avocado...in the picture the avocado slices were all around it. It also had too much sauce. The chicken tamale had literally 1 bite of chicken and 1 olive in it, that's it. It was basically LOTS of corn meal, but tamales should be stuffed. Again, tasty, but they are cutting some corners.

This Peruvian restaurant may blend in easily with the rest of the shops surrounding it, but it has no problem standing out when it comes to a colorful well-presented platter like the arroz chaufa con mariscos. This dish is where Peruvian cuisine and Chinese influence meet. I was served fried rice with fresh green onions, scrambled eggs and a variety of seafood including scallops and squid rings. This mouthwatering dish looked like a rainbow of seafood delight served on a platter just for me. Because this was such a large portion of food, it didn’t take long for me to ask for a box. I’d never been so excited to take home food in my life. The prices are a little steep, but the food and portion size is certainly worth it. However, they do have pretty reasonable lunch specials and coupons and they deliver. Las Cholitas will certainly be seeing a lot of me. Nos vemos pronto, Las Cholitas.

Very impressed. Had the best Peruvian food I've had in the area at this restaurant. Not as fancy as some of the other Peruvian choices nearby, but the food trumps all.
