My husband have both eaten in this restaurant and ordered delivery from them on many occasions. Fruiti Di Mare is my husbands favorite, but I go for the trusted pasta combo. All three pastas as yummy and cheesy.
We tried this place on a whim because my husband was hungry for Italian food and I don't care for most of the places he likes. We were very pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious, reasonably priced, and the service was excellent. We will definitely be back!
Very Good Local Restaurant. I have never been to Verona, but I believe it will be my local go to BYOB. The outside is a little cheesy, but the inside is well done. The heavy wood chairs with oil paintings on the wall create a very nice place. Our server was awesome. He knew his menu very well. He was attentive and funny. We enjoyed his interaction with our family. The food was good. My wife's baked ziti was good. The server said they added ricotta cheese to make it rich. I loved my penne vodka. Both kids like their dishes. The Italian Cream Cake was really good. I think what shocked me the most was the price. The whole tab for four was $54. As good as the food was plus great service, that was a steal.
So Close.... To be a "dislike" from me.
Pro's: Best baked ziti I have tried, large servings, great value, interior that sets itself apart from similar restaurants
Con's: Waitress was ornery, service itself was slow, rolls were very plain
Ok wow. Chicken parm was excellent, HUGE serving. Baked ziti might be the best I've had in Texas - hart to describe why, just had excellent taste and consistency. The ambiance was better than similar restaurants, just seemed a bit more upscale with the decor, seats, and tables. Busy on a Saturday night, which lended to the energetic atmosphere.
All that said, the waitress was very surly - no "please" or "thank you", forgot to bring out the rolls, had to ask for silverware, and was very short with me, almost to the point where I was inconveniencing her. The rolls were VERY plain (and late), easily the worst when compared to similar restaurants. Speed of service was average at best, did they have a shortage of waitstaff? Sure seemed like it.
I voted a "like" because the food itself was very good. I would go back and try something different in hopes that the service improves - if not, would not go back and try similar restaurants that are closer to where I live.
Best cake ever. They have the most amazing chocolate mousse cake the entrees are amazing also the restaurant is really pretty inside and they make you feel really loke ur home the best Italian restaurant in Texas
Service is iffy but great Italian dishes! Shrimp scampi is to die for!
What a nice hidden gem. Great baked ziti and the pizza was awesome. Will add this to my rotation for sure. Prices are very fair.
Verona was recommended to me as the place to go for pizza. The recommendation was right. This is honestly the best pizza I have had in years. The crust is crisp on the outside and soft in the middle. The toppings are authentic and there is just enough cheese. Our server Alez was very responsive and polite. Great find.
The best place ever. I lvoe the food the place is great. u got to try it.. you will love it
We love eating at Verona! We always get delivery, and that is great (and free!), the older man that usually delivers is always very friendly. Free delivery was why we first ordered at Verona, and now order almost weekly. The food is always delicious, our favorites are lasagna, ziti with meatballs, and pizza! Couldn’t recommend more.
This is a convenient location for us but what makes us a repeat customer is their darn good food and friendly attitude (huge props to Frank and Daniel!) They are often busy during dinner time, especially on weekends but the waiters and the kitchen counter staff go out of their way to check in on you and make sure you are taken care of! Their pizza (always crisped up just right!) and their ravioli are always a big hit with us! The place is on the smaller side and it’s BYOB. If they could get a liquor license and keep a couple bottles of good wine, I would give them 5 stars!
Ordered delivery from here after other Italian restaurants had more than double the prices. Blown away, great value and absolutely delicious.
Great customer service at delivery and perfect order accuracy. Will return!
I had Lasagna and it was good, daughter had spaghetti and liked it also. Prices were average, food was good.
We eat there every week sometimes twice weekly, they are our family neighborhood Italian restaurant. Great food, great service, and they treat us just like family. The food is consistently great. Honestly there isn’t a thing on the menu that my family hasn’t tried, pizza, pasta, and salad.
Great neopolitan pizza. Always timely and accurate with their deliveries. And they offer contactless delivery, but the driver always makes sure we get our food before driving off.
The meat stromboli I had tonight was equally as good or better than the first one I had here over 12 years ago! The Mariano sauce is the secret, shhh! My wife enjoyed her favorite eggplant casserole with spaghetti and soft rolls. And the management and staff were very courteous as always. Great date night meal, enjoy!
Met here for dinner with a group of friends. Atmosphere was perfect and food was even better. Flo was our server and she was so wonderful! Highly recommend.
