Cozmic Cafe

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Placerville! The fresh, organic food is hearty and delicious. I feel good about eating here, knowing I am enjoying healthy, whole foods that are oh-so-tasty. Featuring a mostly plant-based menu, there are plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. However, I am always able to impress people who don’t naturally gravitate toward vegetarian food by taking them here. While I haven’t tried anything I didn’t like from Cozmic, the nut burger, the Gold Rush salad, and the rice bowls really stand out for me. Portions are huge! The homemade dressings and hummus are exceptional. Also, I do enjoy their smoothies as a treat; the one with peanut butter and banana is delicious. Furthermore, the atmosphere is wonderful. With its historical Gold Rush era building and fun artwork inside, it’s a great place to bring friends to eat good food and just hang out. Make sure you check out the upstairs. Every time I visit Placerville I make sure to swing by Cozmic Cafe, as I crave their food whenever I’m away.

I love this place. It's super cozy and the employees are super friendly, and the food is just so good. The prices are reasonable, and the portions are decently filling. Their nachos may be my favorite - they're so yummy! I wish they had a store closer to where I live, but a bit of a drive just to grab a bite to eat here is totally worth it.
