I have been eating The Pizza Company in South Baldwin for well over a decade. I came here back in the days of Tastee-Freez. Man, I miss those vanilla milkshakes and their amazing soft serve, including the vanilla soft serve dipped in blue goo! I'd get the cheese fries multiple times a month in high school. Fast forward to 32-year-old me...
...I am visiting Pittsburgh for the holidays, and my brother requested that we order some pizzas from here. We ordered a cheese pizza and a pepperoni pizza. Glad we did! Their pizza has been INCREDIBLY consistent over the years. It always has a lot of flavor, and the sauce has a nice sweetness. The dough has great taste and a nice texture. There is a slight crisp to the crust, which is great. The three-cheese blend is yummy and flavorful. They are generous with the pepperoni slices, which have great savory taste and a nice crisp. Importantly, the pizza slices have great flop. This is one of the best pizzas in Pittsburgh in my opinion, especially for the price. My only complaint would be that there can be a little extra grease at times--nothing that a little dabbing can't fix!
Finally, their business website is quite nice! Furthermore, they do a great job with pick-up and following COVID-19 protocols to protect their employees and customers. Give them the business during this pandemic!
We decided to try this place yesterday, and it was the best pizza place ever! Perfect cheese to sauce ratio, pepperoni cups and crust that we devoured. The crust was airy and crispy and flavorful, to which most places are just doughy and bland.
Absolutely will order from again!
We got a large Pepperoni and Sausage Pizza and a Hogie! I loved the high quality ingredients and the food was prepared to perfection. I will be recommending this Pizza Shop to my Friends and Family. 👍👍👍
Their pizza and wings and french fries are to die for they are so good I love the pizza the most
the pizza is really good, always get the half pepperoni half cheese- one day will have to try a white pizza because I do love white pizzas but it's a hit or miss at every pizza place. I got bread sticks as an app last time and they were good nothing wrong with them but nothing stood out to set them apart so I tried the cheese fries last time and honestly it was the best thing so far and my new go to item.
I know people will read this and think "ok.. they are just cheese fries.." but they are the BEST cheese fries I have ever had
think potato patch fries without the $10 price tag, taste exactly like them👍
anyways, will be my go to pizza place from now on. 5/5
Have ordered from this location many times always solid good pizza and great breadsticks! This is our first time we ordered and we’re very disappointed in the pizza. Called and let the restaurant know and they were more than willing to make the situation better. They brought out a new pizza to us by the manager and it was much better. The customer service was handled beautifully and we appreciate their hard work. We will continue to order from this location.
Best pizza around, hands down!
The staff and owner are all super nice. My dogs and I love the delivery driver also! We would give 10 starts if we could!
I love this place, its food doesn't taste like cardboard, or have too much seasoning, it's at the absolute middle of what an actual pizza should taste like. Waiting times are short so there goes another good point.
Pizza is also guaranteed hot and fresh.
If you'd like to have pizza, I'd suggest you order from this place
I just so happen to be in that area and stopped in to grab a quick pizza for my kids and I. The lady who waited on us was nice but the most important part the pizza was amazing. I’m mad I only got an 8 cut.
Pizza was really good. Great price for XL and hoagie. But the hoagie was too burnt for our liking. It would've been good if it was not burnt! Staff was really nice. There are tables inside to sit and eat there which I did not know!
Updated: still love this place! The girl who, either runs it or manages it, is soooo sweet! Much better quality, price, and faster than the other local pizza places!
