My mom and I walked by one day and saw a killer special: chicken Parmesan, salad, drink, & a dessert for $10. We walked in and was told by the owner that the kitchen had just closed. We were a little disappointed and then the owner asked us what we would like to eat and that he would make it for us. He did and was quick and friendly. Decent chicken Parmesan, liked the salad, and had the ice cream (there was chocolate cake and pumpkin pie too), but was told it was not made in the restaurant. The owner served us himself and was very kind. Would definitely go again! I’ve heard they have great breakfast.
Delicious homemade stuffed cabbage. Just like mom used to make. Nice family atmosphere and friendly service. Had to have a White Russian as well. Looking forward to the new menu items coming soon.
Great food at a great price. The people here are super friendly and on steeler games one dollar tacos and 2 dollar loaded fries!!!! Both are incredibly delicious. The tacos are fresh and tasty. I highly highly recommend.
Food was fantastic, some of the best fish I've ever had. Lots of choices on the menu, home-cooked food, and the prices can't be beat. Clean and comfortable, friendly staff.
I grew up with my paps cooking. Polish and home made. Never in my life have i had the experience in a restraunt of traveling back to that time. The food is real, its hearty and it is so comforting. I got two big peices of meat loaf, mashed potatoes and halushki for $8. My boyfriend got a half pound of stuffed cabbage with the smallest amount of rice, creamy mac and cheese and some coleslaw for $8. Everything was fantastic. 4 titos and 3 beers came to $16. How this gem stays hidden is beyond me. Best food in the southside. Hands down.
I was in town from California for a conference and it’s my last night. For two days I have been taken to chain restaurants I could find anywhere and I longed for some local flavor. I found everything I was seeking at the Green Front Inn after I spotted it from the 75 bus. Homemade cabbage roll, Iron City Beer, and pumpkin pie for dessert. Heaven. Thank you for a great experience.
Friendly atmoshere, great food at a terriffic price, good people, good times, good prompt service. Where it's not just a family business, but good friends & memories to last a lifetime. My husband, family and I go to Greenfront @ least 2x a month for breakfast and/or dinner and have been for many years I can only recall 1 or 2 minor problems that were solved immediately - the staff/owners are great. I work for a corporation that sees many out of town people on a regular basis They ask for dining suggestions on the SS the Greenfront is ALWAYS one. Tonight all you can eat fish and shrimp hope to see you there
Good prices on food, Friendly Staff. It's a dive bar, but a good one.
Quiet enough to talk, never too crowded. Great place to have a meal or a drink.
One of the last of the original Pittsburgh steel mill bars. Cheap and good, they don't charge much since the place is still in the 80's I guess. The food however, isn't.
