I love this little shop they had great customer service and the best milkshake I have had in a while the chocolate covered bacon was the best!!
Desiree was amazing in the ice cream area. She made sure we all had a great time and answered all of our questions. She is a gem! The ice cream was great, too. The candy choices were vast, and the cool kitchen stuff was unexpected and great for gifting!
Fun candy, soda, and ice cream shop in Pittsburgh near the strip district terminal. They have all sorts of candies and a $5 all you can fit box for candy buffet. The sodas were buy 5 get 1 free and most were like $2.29-2.5 each. They carry Hershey’s ice cream and I got the milkshake which was 5 bucks for 3 scoops and 2 toppings.
Our favorite candy shop! They have everything you could think of and more! Love their foreign options and their wall of drinks! Lots of cute gifts too! Can’t go to the Strip without stopping here!
We had so much fun visiting and shopping at Grandpa Joe’s Candy. There’s a huge selection of candy, soda, toys, games and gifts. We had a great time walking around and seeing everything in the store, from candy we remembered from childhood to puzzles about breakfast cereal to pop culture references on mugs and socks. I was excited to buy several things including candy I haven’t seen since I was a kid! This was a really fun trip down memory lane.
I found their website when I was trying to figure out a good place to order candy online. I am 100% satisfied with my order! I ordered on Sunday night and received the package today. I opted for expedited shipping with thermal packaging. What a wonderfully and carefully packed box. I am so excited to enjoy all of the delicious treats I bought. A few of these items are a surprise for my husband and I can’t wait to see his happy reaction to getting some of his favorite candies. I will definitely be ordering again.
Did I just time travel? What a fun and exciting store to visit. Not many stores make you feel like a kid again, but gazing at several candies I haven't seen in a few decades definitely took me back. For a moment, I was 7 years old begging my mother for everything I saw. For a more civilized visit, you can also find a vast variety of handmade sweets strategically placed in a glass display that will definitely call your name! This store is located downtown therefore parking can be strenuous but well worth the effort. Prices seem fair and shelves were packed with good deals on bulk items. The $5 box can be a bargain if you select the right items. I highly recommend this store. Have a blast, time travel, and thank GOD for stores like these that can satisfy your sweet tooth while paying homage to your youth.
The guy that was stocking the candy explained every candy to me. We also discussed the history of Pittsburgh and Philadelphia football team. The $5 box was worth it.
How can a person NOT love this place?!? The selection of treats is amazing, but the best part is the "vintage" candies that you can not find anywhere else. Of course, don't forget about the foreign selections too! It's too bad I could only give 5 stars. If they had an option for 10, I would give them 11.
Went to Grandpa Joes Candy Shop in Pittsburgh on the strip. The variety is big but yet well organized. The staff was nice tho seemed to be either over worked or having a bad day. (Lackadaisical and not well hygiene) over all experience was good will return again.
Meat stick of several varieties (kangaroo ostrich antelope and more)
All kinds of flavors of soda/pop
Great nostalgic place to visit. Classic candy store with all kinds of retro Toys and candy. Fun for all ages going in here with two adults was hilarious and fun. The $5 box of candy you chose wasn't a bad deal. If it fits, it ships!
Grandpa Joe’s is an awesome stop for the kiddos and candy connoisseurs alike. The store is clean, well organized and has awesome employees to help you find whatever you are looking for.
