This place is the bees knees. When you walk in to order, Edgar himself will greet you with a big smile and an enthusiastic “Hola!”
I’ve been here multiple times and I always tell myself I’m going to try something different, but I always leave with steak tacos and a side of chips with jalapeño cheese sauce. They’re excellent. I’m sure everything else is great as well but I’ve never been able to go through with not ordering steak tacos.
Staff is super friendly and orders come out quickly. Pricing is excellent. I work in the strip district and this will be one of my go-to lunch options from now on.
Edgar's has some of the best tacos in the burgh! They are reasonably priced. Edgar is a delightful, friendly man which makes buying from his small business all the better.
Great stuff.. Had the lamb taco and the tongue taco today. Made fresh right before my eyes. Both were great. I also liked the home made hot sauces which were tangy and not overpowering even though they were habanero.
Can't wait to try some of their other items. I look forward to stopping there when I'm in the Strip.
Best taco in the Burgh. After waiting in a semi-substantial line for what my boyfriend said "was the best taco he has ever had" (and he lived in southern california for quite some time) I was not disappointed at all! I ordered the barbacoa taco (marinated lamb) and it was delicious-no salsa,sour cream, or any of the traditional add ons were needed. In fact, I think adding any of the traditional taco accompaniments would have taken the focus off the barbeque flavor (more sweet) and the jalepenos (obviously giving the taco a kick). My boyfriend ordered the chorizo taco this time (previously he ordered the beef tongue taco, which was what made him want to come back and try Edgar's other varieties) and said it was perfect. Tacos are $3/each or 2 for $5. The tacos are large enough two makes a satisfying meal while one is more suited for a street snack. They have burritos too but the sign on their stand does not lie "best tacos in Pittsburgh".

Great. I was in the area looking to grab a bite of food with my friends and we found this gem. All of our dishes were delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive. Even the chairs were comfortable. I could not have asked for more.
Go For The Lamb. Stopped for a fast bite while shopping at the Strip and was very pleasantlt blown away by their lamb tacos! First, I was surprised to see lamb as one of their options, and being a total lamb lover I had to try one. Absolutely delicious! My husband stated that he doesn't have to go anywhere else when he wants a taco because he has found the best in the burgh. We will definitely be back to try more!

The tacos were amazing, just the right amount of flavor!! We also got the pork taco to try, but did not get a photo. Highly recommend if you are in the area.
This is the 2nd time I have had their tacos, rice and beans. So so good 😋. This is one of my favorite things to eat so it's probably really easy to please me 😄. The food was fresh and delicious both times I have had it.
Edgar's Best tacos in Pittsburgh and like my daughter claims - THE BEST TACOS IN THE WORLD. Wow it's the best ever and the service is amazing. So authentic and we love the place. If you're in the Burgh and over by the Strip District, do yourself a favor and stop by and see Edgar.
I loved Edgar's as a taco truck and I'm so excited they got their own place! I wish I didn't live so far away from them or I'd be there everyday. Their food is authentic and delicious. I also had the très leches cake which was amazing! I loved the guac and chicken tacos with the homemade salsas too. I highly recommend!
Tacos rival the ones at my childhood favorite Mexican place. Great ratio of meat to toppings, salsas were fresh and spicy. Shoutout to the random guy I walked past who recommended it and told me how to find it.
Enjoyed some amazing shrimp and chicken tacos, with an ice cold Mango Jarritos to wash them down! Great service from Edgar, he is so sweet.
Can't say enough good things about this place. As soon as we entered the door we were greeted with a welcoming smile and a cheerful "Hola". Food was served quickly which we were happy about because we were starving after a long bike ride from South Side to the Strip. Dug into and quickly devoured four tasty Mexican-style tacos. Two were chicken tacos and two were carne asada. They were all out of this world! Will definitely return.
I've been eating Edgar's Tacos since they were a "street taco" Stand, it's --always delicious, fresh & great welcoming service! They have daily specials, Fresca and Mexican sodas. They have an awesome salsa bar, Queso, fresh tortilla chips & the specialty menu items are fantastic! Enjoy!
