It's so cute here. Reminds me of stepping foot into Pride and Prejudice. Victorian era energy with lovely, lightly sweetened bakes with unique flavors like black sesame blood orange matcha love cake. It's open late too so a really nice spot to go after dinner in Lawrenceville for a dessert.

Omg the ambience is so pretty! So aromatic and loved the vegan cakes! Cute date place! Personally I felt it’s a little on the expensive side

Visited here with my friend and we had such a lovely time. It felt like a fancy tea party and we took pictures and it was really fun. The cakes were so delicious and the tea was flavorful. The whole atmosphere is beautiful and makes you feel cozy. I can’t wait to come back again.

Dear Butterwood Thanks for the great experience. My wife and I stopped in the other day to do a little bit of work and we had some tea and delicious pie. I really love the cozy atmosphere and the decorations. I also really love the vegan cakes; they are exquisite. thanks so much for creating such a welcoming space and offering such delicious food. And it’s extra nice that you are open late for people that like to get work done after hours. Looking forward to coming back again. Can’t wait to get more tea cake and pie, stay amazing. See you next time. Bry

Very unique little bakery. Open late which is definitely something this city needs more of. Flavor combinations that are unlike most bakeries have to offer. Like blood orange and honey. Fig, lavender…earl grey.. I definitely stepped out of my comfort zone as I’m typically the chocolate and vanilla girl. Everything I’ve tried is delicious. Highly recommend the chocolate chip cookie sandwich with the peanut butter buttercream. Also the lavender blood orange cake with the honey cream.. and the raspberry rose cake. Very cute inside.

My husband and I visit Butterwood at least once a week, sometimes more. That is how much we love this place. It is such a cozy environment and the pastries/baked goods are unbelievably delicious. This is our favorite bakery in the city and we love that it is open late so that we can go in for dessert after having dinner.

This cafe has an exquisite upholstery featuring the Victorian era. The owner has a strong and delicate taste in decoration. Blood orange cake with fig buttercream is amazing. Not too sweet but just enough to light up your tasting buds. Double shot espresso is a bit miss. It’s not as strong as I expect it should be.
