The food here is pretty good, you get a decent serving size for the price you pay. But the staff wasn't as welcoming as I thought they'd be being that it's a FAMILY restaurant. It also threw me off that there was a child working there that didn't look of age.
Drew’s Family Restaurant has been serving the Pittsburgh area for over 100 years. Located at 2060 Ardmore Boulevard, the semi-famous eatery is well known for serving homemade, quality food. We arrived early in the morning for breakfast on a Wednesday, and the place was bustling with a hungry breakfast crowd.
Options for Everyone in the Family. I have attended Drew's a few times for breakfast, and I was impressed with the quality of the food. You get large servings for great prices. They also have substitutions available (like egg white only, smaller portion sizes for a smaller price) which I chose to take advantage of. Overall, Drew's is a great restaurant to visit if you want a lot of options at decent prices.
Recently, I visited Drew's Family Restaurant for their Greek Night. It was phenomenal! They had a special Greek menu (in addition to their normal menu), and I was able to have an authentic Greek meal. The restaurant was buzzing on this night, and the atmosphere was very festive. Everyone in my party ordered a different item from the Greek menu, and I was able to try a little bit of everything. There wasn't anything that I didn't like. I finished my meal with a baklava sundae. I am definitely looking forward to attending Drew's next Greek Night.
My friends and I had a great experience here this morning/afternoon. This is a true diner, staff was extremely friendly and food was great! The Drews chipped steak sandwich was delicious- real steak, not that steakums crap. We loved that you could get sides of fried zucchini, mushrooms or mozzarella sticks with your meal instead of a full appetizer. The zucchini was great! I can't wait to go back and try their pizza :)
Great place.. We have gone here for breakfasts for years. Fresh waffles with or without nuts(your choice).Excellent homemade whipped cream, and fresh fruit. The best strawberries, and you get a lot of them.
The French toast is excellent also.
They also have very good and different ommlets.

Love it!!. Drew's is a staple in our family. We have had many breakfasts, lunches and dinners at Drew's. Great food, great service. Real family atmosphere. In fact, you'll often see one of the brothers roaming around the restaurant, talking with their guests and just making them feel very welcome.
The food is fabulous. Good home cookin'. Their omelettes are very large and delicious, sandwiches are wonderful. My favorite meal there is dinner. Their specials are fantastic. Great variety. Some of the best sauces I've ever had. Very reasonably priced. Great for old and young.
Reuben. The best in the city!!! and their Belgian waffles are amazing as well!
Some thing for everyone. Amazing food,one of the few. Places with truly homemade food ,to go with their truly homemade feel. The food & servers make make this the perfect sit- down place. To enjoy a great meal with the family or grab a cup of coffee with a old friend. Love their soups & stuffed cabbage & pizza.

Had a work Christmas party at Drew’s. The service was exceptional. They definitely make you feel like you matter as a customer. The staff were very attentive and pleasant. The food was delicious. I used to visit here during my high school days in the local area. Today was a reminder of why I started coming here all those years ago. Thank you for a wonderful time and being such great hosts!!!
I’ve been here a few times. The food overall is good. If I had one complaint it would be that the consistency is not really there. However, when they are on their A game, the food here is delicious!! Yesterday one of my pancakes was a little undercooked. Other than that, the food was really good. We also had a BLT and a bacon cheeseburger. The bacon was slightly chewy according to my daughter, so she didn’t eat it.
We were on our way home from a Christmas craft fair in Monroeville. We wanted a bite to eat and did a search Drew's sounded great. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious comfort food. The dessert selection was not only impressive but the two items we brought home the Italian Lemon cake and chocolate Lasagna were absolutely delicious. We will definitely be returning. I recommend if your in the area you stop in and get away from the world.
Drew’s has GREAT customer service. Everyone was nice here. I came for the pancakes and the first time they were great. The second time they were a little overcooked. They have a homemade syrup (I believe). It’s not great. They need some options there. The corned hash and potatoes were a little bland but the portions were great.
Great witness. Service. The place resembles Dennys. Sat at bar close to cake display. 🎂 Alot of orders for cake slices. Must be 👍 good.

I had a wonderful experience at Drew's! The service was amazing! Everyone was so friendly and attentive. The food was very appealing looking as well as very good tasting. I had the chicken shiskabob on a bed of rice. The food is fresh and well presented as well as the dessert selection is amazing! I had an amazing experience at Drew's over and above the typical restaurant service. I most definitely will be back.
2nd time at Drew's; really good place to grab breakfast. Haven't tried other times. Staff is great. Food served hot, cooked well and in a reasonable time. Saw a lot of families; they were good with kids too.

Where do I begin, from the moment I entered the restaurant I felt a sense of family, cozy quaint, place to dine. My husband and I ate there, I mean, the portion was generous the cake slice was huge 2 large crab cakes and macaroni was delicious, I mean, I was thinking it was something like the family restaurant, which starts with a D and ends with y's; but nothing of the sort, beautiful cake in a display case makes ur mouth water. I had a great time and hated to leave because of the atmosphere there. I told everyone, I can't tell u how many times in over 40 years That I have rode past this restaurant thinking it's like the other restaurant, I have missed out. Go in, sit down and you won't be disappointed. Did I mention the personal one on one service from the waitresses?

This is your hometown dinner. Loved it. Server was super sweet and so was the women at the front who checked us out. Cheeseburger Club was super good and so was the farmers omelet. Great place to catch a bite
