This past Saturday my girlfriend, and out of town companion and I stopped by Pho Van about 1130 in the morning as we have been wanting to try the place for a while. After about a five minute wait, we were seated, the waiter was tremendously polite and answered our questions very clearly. We ordered hot cups of Jasmine tea and the rare eye round pho. I cannot say enough about how good the pho was. The broth was complex without being over burdened, the noodles were perfect and the condiments were crisp, fresh and perfect. We had nice conversation over our pho, chatted with people at the neighboring table and in short, I could easily eat here three or four days a week and be completely satisfied. Even now, four days later, we are still talking about that broth! Go, try it...

Amazing meal. Pho to die for. Same for the banh mi. Freshest bread. Having just moved back from Saigon little over a year ago I’ve been craving this. Best around by far.

We ate here many times. Prices have gone a bit up but the quality stays the same. I’ve had the tripe phi which was not shy on the tripe, and the meatballs pho. The broth is on the clear and gentle side and the noodles are fresh. Relatively fast service too, important for hungry people:))). Nice addition of macaroons for dessert.

Nice little restaurant in the strip district in Pittsburgh. With that said, prepare for a search for parking spots, sometimes depending on the day. Mostly paid on certain days There are a lot of great hot spots for food down here with a lot of memorabilia and small shops with awesome products.Pho Van is a tasty spot for Vietnamese cuisine and I was in need of their cuisine. My eyes are bigger than my stomach and I ordered their banh mi brisket as well as a rice plate. Good banh mi, good ratio to meat and veggies and good good loaf of bread. The rice plates comes with your choice of protein but also, veggies, dipping sauce and an egg. A great amount of food for a decent price. Can't beat that. The staff seem real friendly even during a busy rush. Next time I'm in town, I'm down to come back and try something new. Its relatively small but a good amount of sitting. And definitely a popular establishment with all the chairs filled and a line waiting to be seated. If that sparks your interest enough, try it.

Came here today for lunch while visiting in Pittsburgh and was not disappointed. Ihad a big bowl of pho 🍜 which I shared with my daughter and it was fantastic. The broth was so flavorful and the egg rolls really good. Service is fantastic. The daughter said she’ll be back again. A must try place.

The options in The Strip are pretty amazing - but the Pho at this place is definitely crave worthy! The chicken pho and the Vietnamese coffee were our lunch choice. We were promptly seated and the amazing aroma of the Vietnamese coffee was a great precursor to the pho we experienced! Definitely should be on anyone's Must Get list while in The Strip!!

I genuinely enjoy the food here, coming from someone who knows how to cook Vietnamese food and growing up with my mom’s home-cooked Viet food! What’s even better is the atmosphere - the family running the business has brought so much life to the restaurant! ☺️ I just moved back to Pittsburgh recently, so seeing this restaurant come to life has been such a pleasure. Will be back for sure!

We got the Pho Brisket and Crispy Tofu. Pho was tasty and taste like the North Pho Style (I’m a Southerner) which the broth is more plain and more clear. The crispy tofu was top notch, i like their sauce with the tofu which is kinda sweet and good seasoning. I thought the crispy tofu was just plain crispy and no sauce so that was a nice surprise. The server was nice and cute. She kinda inexperienced but everything can be compensate with a good attitude and hospitality smile. The atmosphere was okay, as a Vietnamese minus point for the Chinese playlist all my time there. But the settings on the table were Vietnamese vintage with a Cafe Du Monde canteen for cutlery.

It's been awhile since I have been to Pho Van. I was very pleased with my Wonton Noodle Soup. The menu is different from before with new dishes. I had the soft shell crab fresh roll. The soft shell crab was fresh and good with the peanut sauce. The server was friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back :)

This is the best Asian (Vietnamese/Chinese) place in Pittsburgh. The service is excellent. The food is very delicious. The ambience is awesome. I enjoyed the music that they play in this place My favorite dishes are soft shell bánh mì, wonton noodle soup, Pork Chop over rice, soft shell spring roll, and steamed dumplings. The owner this place used to own Taipei Fox Chapel before taking over this place this year. I highly recommend this place.
