Such a lovely establishment with the nicest staff. The music they play is always nice. They have vast amount of flavors, but just feel their ice cream is a bit too sweet for my taste and mask the actual flavor. Their waffle though was such a good treat with a cup of coffee on the side.
Great, creamy and decadent icecreams. We got to try multiple samples before choosing and we joined 2 flavors, half and half, in one scoop.
The waffles with ice cream are also great for some rainy comfort. Also, the music is great with bossa nova playing in the background.

Everything was perfect. No doubt 5/5 star. We had 4 different icecream: lavender raspberry, banana custard, strawberry prezel and pittsburgh pride. Not too sweet, but flavorful and creamy!
We stopped in for our first time, they happened to be very busy with a group of 26 having just come in but the line moved quickly and when we got to the front the (I’m guessing owner?) scooping ice cream could not have been nicer! Kindly explaining the flavors and letting us sample, he also handed us each a bite of their Candy Cane flavor saying it had just come out, so kind!
The ice cream was fantastic, definitely recommend the Pittsburgh flavor, it was amazing! We didn’t try a waffle but certainly will next time. The staff was incredibly kind it really cannot be over stressed. For great ice cream and an even better experience, come here!
The most amazing ice cream and homemade waffle I have ever had! The owner is so incredibly nice, and we enjoyed talking to him. The perfect ending to our evening.
Treat is a small business that sells authentic Belgian waffles and local ice creams. The waffles are small but are freshly made and tasty. The ice creams are available in 16 flavors on any given day, and different flavors are available on other days. For a midday snack (not a full meal), my husband and I each bought a waffle with ice creams. The owner spoke nicely to us and gave me a few samples to try. I enjoyed my black-raspberry ice cream, and my husband enjoyed his banana-custard ice cream.
Super friendly staff who let us sample their ice cream. We ended up getting the Pittsburgh pride and the lavender raspberry. The ice cream has a nice creaminess to it, I just wish the flavor was more impactful
Nice little store on Walnut Street. Waffles were crunchy due to the sugar, which added some nice texture to the ice cream. Portion size was alright, just remember to close the entrance door.
Enough Whip cream to make you laugh uncomfortably. Waffle is delicious even on its own. Smiles for days.
This place is a Must Do! We were walking down the street in Shadyside, and happened to stumble across this fabulous ice cream and waffle shop! The owner let us try several of the unique flavors before we made our final choice. The waffles were warm and soft, with just the right sweetness, chopped into bite-size cubes. And the ice cream on top was fabulous! I had the mint chip, and the chocolate chips were whole! My husband was enjoying his ice cream so much, the owner offered him another scoop- who does that? I've had ice cream all over the world, and can honestly say that Treat is very special!
