Food menu hasn't changed in a while which is sad but still consistent and good. Service is always good and quick. It's an establishment.

What a quaint old-country feel! Lunch portions were sizeable, service was good for how busy they were and price was consistent with other restaurants in the area. The proprietor was a sweet, elderly man who really made you feel at home. Cramped and close together, it felt like the old ways in Italy! A little loud. If you want to have a private converaation, it's not gonna happen! I'll definitely come back for a main course! My only issue was finding it! It's down below a shop that has a bigger sign above so you have to look below or you will miss it!

Girasole is our favorite spot for a date night in Shadyside. The small quaint restaurant is always bursting with life. You will leave with a full belly, wanting to come back soon! The staff is always great and helpful with recommendations. Their side salad is second to none. I’ve tried to recreate it at my house and nothing will ever compare. We try to get different dishes each time, if possible: they always have a nice seasonal option. If you aren’t too full after dinner, their cheesecake is delicious!

I've loved this place for over 10 years. They're so accommodating. Once I was taking colleagues for dinner from out of town and I called and asked if there was a way for us to get or bring a specific desert from a nearby bakery. Not only did they say yes, they went and picked it up for me and simply added it to my check to save me time. Excellent food, great service.

A neighborhood gem and one we frequently visit when in town. Food is very special with traditional home cooked Italian taste with very fresh ingredients. They have a summer and winter menu that always offer some special and delicious dishes. Family owned and always a warm welcome from Pie.

I had the spinach spaghetti with corn and their house salad. Salad was nothing to write home about but the spinach and corn pasta (served room temp) was awesome. I’ve previously had their soup which was so good too. Kind of limited cocktail and wine list but that’s not as important to me. The owner is very hands on and is always there interacting with customers. Very small space which I don’t fault them for at all but they had live music both times visited and it was SO LOUD. The location is amazing and the food is pretty good but it’s a bit chaotic with the loud music and size of venue. Would still recommend for someone wanting a fun night out.

Food is all made from scratch. Sooo delicious. Service was amazing too. Camryn our server knew the whole menu and helped make suggestions for each course. Being greeted by the owner made us feel like family! Will definitely be back and recommend to everyone!

My wife and I celebrated our 35th anniversary here on 8/27 for something special. The place has a crazy, LOUD vibe to it. I felt like we were in another city. It was kinda cool for something different. The pasta dishes and wedding soup were awesome. Dessert was good. Our server did a great job considering how busy and loud it was. Everyone seemed to be having a great time and the guy at the entrance with the wine glass who I assume was the owner was a real character. We had a really nice meal.

Great little restaurant. Very small, but cozy and intimate. Amazing food and seasonal specialties. Wine, beer and cocktails available. And of couse, excellent service and servers. Give it a try. You will not be disappointed! Photo: spinch spaghetti from summer menu, with penne substitution. Yum!
