China Garden

I had the Bourbon chicken and it was beyond gross. Super thick gloppy sauce that’s salty and tastes like it was made in an unlabeled silver tin can and shipped over from China. Worst bourbon chicken I have ever had by far. I threw it away. We also had sesame chicken. It was meh… a little heavy on the breading and a little bit of thick goopy sauce on it too. Still sesame chicken was edible. My egg-roll was awesome, super hot and fresh and just the right amount of crispy. The pork fried rice that comes with the dinner platters was ok, I added some soy sauce to it which I never do. The rice really wasn’t bad for coming with the meal but I would never order it as a stand alone item. I also upgraded one meal to the lo mein noodles and they were average. Everything came super hot and super fresh. Whatever weird thick goopy gunky funky sauce they use was just nasty. Maybe they didn’t water it down or something??

They refused to refund part of our order they messed up on and kept saying it was out for delivery for a hour and a half. I cont called and they kept saying it was out for delivery and finally the manager said ok he would refund money . The manager and staff are aweful and dont care about customers at all. Dont know what tey are doing.

Very friendly staff, very busy with take-outs but still our in-house order was taken and completed in a timely fashion. We ordered Hunan Shrimp with a side of extra chili sauce. There was a plethora of medium sized shrimp and an abundance of vegetables. The vegetables consisted of broccoli, carrots, mushrooms but a tad too heavy on the bok choy. The sauce could have been thicker and spicier. The chili sauce on the side had no heat at all.  The Sweet & Sour Chicken was packed with the sauce in a separate container (thumbs up) and was very good.  The Chicken Fried Rice was adequate although the rice was overcooked. A generous amount of overcooked white rice was included. The take-out order was well packed, placed in a plastic bag and then in a paper bag supported by piece of cardboard in the bottom.  The top corners of the paper bag were stapled. Very impressive with no mishaps on the trip home. Included in the order were fried wontons and fortune cookies. The little packages of orange sauce and mustard were very bland. I guess we should have asked for  chopsticks as they were not included. With the $30 order came a quart of complimentary wonton soup (no substitutes). No reason anyone would go hungry with this order. Kudos also for the food being streaming hot after the five mile ride home.

We really like this place.. It is kept clean and family owned and operated.. They are very nice people and the food has always been good.. Out of the more than several times that we have eaten there my chicken has been dry on a few occasions but I will not take a star away for that because If I would have had any type of complaint I'm know they would have fixed it and made it right yet I did not I just went ahead and ate it because it's still tasted good.. the gentleman that takes orders at night might sound a little Gruff but he is a super nice guy and pretty funny

Disappointed.. I'm so mad the china place by my house is closed Mondays. I made sure I checked reviews here before ordering and they were fair. I didn't think you could mess up what I was ordering. I got pork lomein, it didn't taste good at all. The sauce was dark and didn't taste like normal Chinese lomein. MSG etc.. I got 3 egg rolls because WE LOVE egg rolls in this house but the egg rolls had an off taste. Old tasting. NOT VERY CRISPY EITHER..The wrapping fell apart. I will say the fried chicken was good. Glad I got something I could atleast enjoy but i won't be stepping out on New China again...
