The Country Kitchen

Was very disappointed with my last visit to this place. Went there with my sister-in-law. We each ordered from the lun h specials. They brought hers out 10 minutes before mine and when they did bring mine out it was to cold to eat. We left and went somewhere else for lunch. Waitress was nice and understanding.

The food is actually fairly tasty. No, that's not true. I should be fair, at least. The food is very, very good and the portions are healthy. But, my dining experience includes somewhat more than just good food. The ambience, the service, the give-and-take with proprieters; all these things and more, matter to me when I decide how to spend my entertainment dollar. And unfortunately for this little mom and pop bistro, they all fail miserably. The wait staff service is usually adequate, but where's the smile and joy de vivre? It's very similar to eating at a diner with the only food choice items available to eat are displayed ominously behind the steel and plastic of a yet another snack machine. Yet, the fact that the wait staff isn't happy in their job wouldn't keep me away from this simple eatery. No, no, not at all. The cause of my dismay stems from the arrogance, and holier than thou attitude so prevalent and obvious which is so openly, almost brazenly by the ownership. Perhaps they are better than I. But, I don't need to be reminded of my failures. I'm aware of them.

The food was fantastic! I had the prime rib shrimp special! The plate was generous with 2 sides. I chose a side salad and baked potato. Their waitress was very polite and attentive. I had everything that I needed to enjoy my meal! I left absolutely nothing on my plate! Please give Country Kitchen a try. The atmosphere is down home and relaxed. You willsoon get to know Jayson and Jeremy by name and they treat their customers like family.
