We just had dinner at Olar Noso!! Outstanding !!! We were a table of 8. From the moment we arrived we were impressed. Our table was waiting for us and we were seated immediately!! We ordered several appetizers . All were excellent. The salmon was delicious!! The pasta dishes were amazing but the paella was the best I’ve had. We made a reservation to come back next weekend

Wow! What a comeback from the team at Olar. What was already the top restaurant for northern jersey folk and rockland county locals has seemingly gotten even better. Most probably feared Olar would lose its charm or fail to deliver the same quality, but the team has managed to pull off the exact opposite. The food is better then ever, and the larger venue offers a warm and lively vibe. Not to mention... parking is no longer an issue! Super proud of the Dominguez boys you managed to make a great thing even better!

Best restaurant in the area, without a doubt. I think this is the best restaurant outside of NYC, and it could easily compete with restaurants in the city as well. Everything from the tapas, salads, pizza, pasta--so much flavor and cooked perfectly. The wine list is very reasonable as well. Cash only so come prepared. Also, while it may be difficult to get in (reservations same day only) it is a whole lot easier than it used to be at the former Piermont location. My family's personal favorites include the sopressata pizza and the (housemade) pea cavatelli with sausage. The gnocchetti are perfect little light pillows surrounded by beautifully caramelized eggplant and in a delicious bright tomato sauce. Last time we were there, we tried a pizza special that had pistachio cream, burrata, and mortadella. So different from any pizza I've ever had before and SO delicious. I can't say enough good things about Olar. My favorite spot!

Thankfully we were able to be added to an existing reservation of friends. We arrived at 4pm on Sunday. By the time we left the place was nearly filled. We had the sangria which was light and not sweet. Potato chip app was slightly spicy and a hit. The polenta with Gorgonzola app was disappointing. The flavors weren’t distinct enough and the presentation seemed lacking. All the entrees were exceptional. The skirt steaks were tender and well seasoned, the salmon was beautiful, didn’t have, my lamb ragu pappardelle with ricotta salata was amazing just wish I had a few more ribbons of pasta. Do not miss the panna cotta and flan. The service was top notch, eager and genuinely polite.
