I've never had a bad experience with what ever I order. Love there Red Menudo best I've ever had,love the cheese Enchiladas with red sauce,best rice and bean Burritos smashing. Always great service everyone polite and pleasant my experience and will keep going back.
If you want some of the best in house cooked Mexican Food, then this is the place for you. A up scale counter service with some of The Best Green Chili in the Valley

Food was good, as usual. With working from home and the Pandemic I hadn't been in a couple of years. I was disappointed that the chip and salsa bar succumbed to the global fear of germs. They give you a basket of chips and salsa when you order. The salsa was excellent. I hope the chip bar comes back. I had the two cheese enchilada plate, which came out sizzling and bubbling. It was so good!
It was noisy inside and I had trouble hearing my dining companions. I usually choose the patio, but when it's 110 degrees out, inside is preferable. I must come back much sooner!
While we love this place and have been customers for years, I have to say I’m disappointed when it comes to ordering chips of all things. If you order a LARGE bag of chips it does not include any hot sauce or salsa. Nothing. You have to pay for it. If you order a SMALL bag of chips, it comes with three small hot sauces. When asked if we could get three hot sauces included with the large bag they said no! They make more money on a large bag but include no hot sauce. Makes no sense as you expect chips AND salsa. They use to be generous with hot sauce so not sure when that changed.
I finally tried this place while at work in the office, and it was Ah-mazing! The free chips and salsa are fantastic! I had the chicken chimichanga with rice and beans. I was able to have leftover lunch the next day-heated it in the toaster oven- and it was almost just as good as the day I had it fresh. I am very impressed and so glad to have finally found an authentic Mexican restaurant with great prices!
Went for a quick lunch and the service and staff were very friendly and accommodating. I had the BEST machaca enchilada I have EVER had. Honestly, the hot sauce was a little too hot for my liking and I didn't even ask if they had any other because my two friends really like it. I live like 14 miles from downtown but I will definitely go again! It is not table service however there were servers around for whatever you might need.
Great food and the manager and his family are great people. The young cashier lady who is there most mornings has had a terrible attitude every single time we stop by there for lunch, she just radiates her bad day to everyone else. After today won’t be back for a while, that being said I’d recommend the Nanas or Mothers special
Egg, bacon, potato burrito with rice and beans on the side. Good portion, was good.
I’m glad I ran into La Canasta Capitolio. The green chile burrito slaps I get it every time I go. I usually ordered drive-thru but my last visit I decided to dine in and it’s a very authentic vibe once you’re inside. There’s beautiful art work and it’s very clean. I recommend going to La Canasta Capitolio asap.
Food was freshly made and tasted great! Service was pleasant and efficiently delivered. Excellent place to eat and visit with family and friends!!
I liked the carne asada, but I will not order it again in the chimichanga.
