Tamale Store

This fairly new tradition, in my family, of loading up on Tamales for the holidays from this lovely establishment, is a tradition we will carry on for many years. Just as long as they are available to us ONLY from The Tamale Store. So thankful for all the hard working men and women that make it possible for ALL to be able to enjoy their tamales and other products! Worth it every time, as you can definitely taste the love in their food!

If you live in Phoenix and LOVE Mexican food than you need to try this place. Whether your new to Phoenix, passing through, or try Mexican food for the first time, you definitely need to try this place. You won’t be disappointed! My wife ordered Two Tamales with one side(beans). It doesn’t take much to fill her up but she wanted to try Red and Green Tamales. She absolutely loved her dish and surprisingly ate quite a bit. I ordered Two Tamales and two sides (Mexican Corn and Bean Tostada). Was not expecting the portions to be that big and I wasn’t upset about that. There was so much food that I ended up taking some home for dinner. The food is amazing and the portion sizes will leave you with left overs depending how hungry you are. We’re excited to go back and continually try different things on the menu because there are plenty of options. They taste is there with each savory food and creates a unique experience with each bite. There’s a store near the seating and cashier which customers can go through for items. Looking to get some sauces in the future. The best thing is they have a story about the Tamale Store which was pretty cool. Give them a try you’ll love it!

We catered just tamales in for a staff lunch. This was the first time in the last two years of me ordering catering on for my staff that the order was hot, fresh, ready for me to pick up and correct. My staff was beyond happy with the selection and the taste. To say that they killed it would be an understatement. We will definitely order catering from them again!

We came across them at the Uptown Farmers market. We bought several frozen options. My husband enjoyed the hot pork tamale while at the market. You can find some other flavors at Ajs. The dessert tamales have an interesting flavor. They are better with whip cream and syrup on top. The regular ones are very filling and not too much maza, where some places you get no filling at all and left hungry. Good quality food and friend staff. My daughter asked for these every time we were at the market and started buying her some to have during the week.

The food here and the atmosphere is A+. Let me start by saying you feel very welcomed soon as you walk in the door. They explain everything to you about the menu. Awesome presentation and tasty food. You can buy them in singles or dozens of multiple flavors to choose from. Hot ones or some that are frozen that u can take home and heat for a good treat. Does your dog stare at you while you eat? You're in luck they sell dog versions to so everyone can enjoy a good tamale or two. You can order a tamale plate that comes with two sides. It's very feeling and a lot of options to choose from. Clean and well-kept establishment. If you're in the area make a stop here you won't be disappointed.

I’m Latina, born & raised here in AZ.🌵I can humbly say these are 2nd place best tamales I’ve had in my life…1st place are ones from my dad’s restaurant long ago.😇 I LOVE that they don’t leave me feeling all full & bloated like regular masa. They’re very light! Although there thiccc.😎 The ambience & vibes of the lil shop inside & overall restaurant is A+. There’s always changing stuff around to make it look more beautiful.✨ The staff is sweet, the tamales are the equivalent to Michael Jordan in basketball & I’ve gotten gifts from there shop before.🫶🏼 Hispanic & Mexican pride oozes from here. Hopefully there able to open more locations across the valley, in the future.
