Our new favorite Ethiopian restaurant in Phoenix! We had the meat/veggie combo, which included all of the vegetable dishes and Doro Wot, Key Wot, and Alicha Wot. We each ordered our own, but each order was enough food for two people! The spices were balanced, the meats very tender and juicy, and the vegetables fresh--the food was both comfort food and complex! And the prices were more than fair! Service was busy but incredibly friendly and attentive. The entrance looks like a little like a drive bar with pretty little lights and cool art -- sounds weird, but you're in the right place for great Ethiopian food! We're looking forward to our next visit

While not the best Ethopian food I've had it was a solid option in the downtown(ish) Phoenix area. Staff was attentive and kind. The restaurant as a building definitely leaves much to be desired. I would go back if I was in the area but simply prefer the flavors at other ethopian places more than this one.

Wow! Such authentic and amazing Ethiopian food. The service was so fast and friendly. And I had tons of leftovers. Plus a really good deal for so much food. Definitely recommend to everyone in the area! The Gojo combo is the way to go!!

Really great Ethiopian restaurant!! We got the vegetarian sampler and sambusas to share with the table. The service was really great. Only things I didn't like was that they did not have tap water (only bottles) and the incense was overwhelming.

Visiting from out of town and found this place on google maps. Highly recommend. Nice causal welcoming and warm atmosphere. Incredibly flavorful dishes, everything is made in house, the Gojo plate was amazing and the meat sambusas were crunchy, had amazing flavor and came with a very unique and tangy hot sauce that is homemade. They have unique drinks like Ethiopian honey wine (I didn’t try it but saw other people enjoying them) and thyme tea. Prices on the menu were lower than what we were actually charged by ~$1-3 per dish but still our total ended up being $15 per person which is great value for such flavorful food. We are both full and content! Will return!

Excellent Food. The location is sketchy and the restaurant is outdated and needs a major renovation. When ya see how dirty everything is it’s hard not to wonder what the kitchen looks like 😬But the quality of food was excellent! The restaurant was very busy on a Friday night and there was one male server who managed it and take out orders with ease. I will eat here again but it will be take out.

AMAZING place tucked away from the rest of the restaurants in the scene. We got the Goji Combo which was a big sampler of all the veggie & meat options and man, was that incredible. Tacked on 2 orders of the Veggie Sambussas which were incredible. And for all of that, the prices were more than reasonable. Service was so sweet and we can’t wait to go back and bring people in the door!

Nice staff and cozy welcoming restaurant! The area might turn you off to this place but the food here is really worth the try! I will say it was a bit warm inside the restaurant but not really to worried about that! I would recommend giving this place a try if you like authentic Ethiopian! I enjoyed the coffee a lot and we liked the Gojo combo as wel!

We love getting take-out from here. The food is so flavorful, and the portions are huge. The box is heavy!! We have not eaten in, but we hope to take part in the coffee and authentic atmosphere. Great service and a flavor you will start to crave. I highly recommend the meat and vegetable combo.

What a wonderful 💎 gem. This family owned restaurant was clean, well lit, comfortable, and offered both traditional and American styled seating. The food was fantastic. My friend grew up eating Ethiopian food, and this was his 2nd time in one week. The drink was served in the traditional glass, and my table was very impressed with the smoothness of the flavors. Staff were wearing face coverings, and were professional and friendly. If you've never tried it, give it a go. Don't be afraid or intimidated. They can answer all of your questions.
