I have drove by this place many times and been wanting to try it out. We finally had some time and I have definitely been missing out. There is so many flavors with vegan and a couple sugar free options available. I really liked the place and the price point is great. The place was clean and staff was friendly. I got the New York cheese cake and pistachio flavors.
The Gelato spot never fails to disappoint, and at this point is the go-to place for my girlfriend and I to pick up a sweet treat. They have a terrific selection of gelatos at reasonable prices, and always have kind and attentive staff. It is also located in a good location near several restaurants, so if you aren't feeling the dessert menu wherever you are nearby, I highly recommend you pop over to the Gelato Spot to satiate that sweet tooth!
Wide variety of delicious flavors and are reasonably priced for up to 3 scoops for $5.99 as opposed to Creamistry which would be double the price. Friendly service as they will ask you if you'd like taste samples.
Gelato Spot is really good ice cream in my opinion. My favorite is their pear. The employee was very patient with us asking for quite a few samples. She was not as friendly as past employees I have been served by at other Gelato stores. It was not busy at all when we were there.
I read some of these reviews before trying The Gelato Spot and I am glad that I gave it a try. We were looking for a place large enough to have a seat in a warm place on a cold Phoenix night with the family. Since a few reviews mentioned the staff, I was particularly pleased that the people helping us were very pleasant as my kids tried a couple of samples. I cracked a joke to the young lady helping me and got a decent laugh out of her, too. Great selection and highest quality. I tried all of the flavors my family ordered and all were fantastic! Since these two ladies (pictured) sat next to each other spanning two tables, I stood while my family took seats in a comfy little (gelaro) spot. That turned out well, though, because a seat opened in Hava Java, and so we sat over there and I ended up getting a wonderful Americano. Great experience and we'll be back. Give it a try!
This is a great place to share with family and friends after a nice meal or an added bonus after a long day. It's always - always clean! Albeit inside seating is a challenge at times heck, we live in Arizona and when we're not running from the heat - outside is great!
The staff is usually friendly except when the youngsters take over on the weekends desiring their music to be heard over the customers remarks or conversation. But, that's young folks for ya. Take your family over...you'll be glad you did!
My favorite gelato place in Phoenix! I drive from the other side of town for it. Good selection of flavors, quality gelato, relaxing atmosphere. Parking is sometimes a struggle, but there's plenty in front of Safeway.

Nice selection of flavors, good mixture of traditional and non-traditional choices. Enjoyed the delicate almond gelato, paired well with the chocolate fudge gelato. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating.
I was in Italy the land of gelatos, I tried some delicious flavors mixed with those amazing historic places in Rome. The climate was hot reminding me of my beloved Phoenix Arizona where The Gelato Spot has nothing to lose in comparison of the ones in the Roman states!
My favorite gelatos have to be the Coconut, Hazelnut, Pumpkin Pie and Rum Raisin, all has its unique and rich flavors!
Now that Summer is around the corner... good times for my Gelatos!
