Really enjoyed the food here and the ambiance as well. Service was great too! The Strand is an urban Italian restaurant on 1st downtown. Attached pics for what we ordered; Tortellini, Chicken Parm, Hamburger w/ parm fries and shrimp scampi (gluten free version).
I can only speak to the Tortellini which was fantastic, creamy sauce with bits of prosciutto throughout.

Incredible spot for dinner, the food was perfect and ambiance was everything. The food delicious and the margaritas hit the spot. The best part was the service. Jaden was on point and super quick. All in all a perfect spot to hit on any occasion. They have deals on drinks going all the time

Great food with an awesome atmosphere with stellar service! Can't go wrong here guys! I would recommend the bruchetta and the Chicken Alla Vodka.. Bomb Food with one of the most personable staff I have experienced! Go and check them out you won't be disappointed!

I eated mac and lobster cheese. Everywhere in USA, you can meet crafted beer. STRAND was looks like old mood but I thought young people also like there. They mixed new and old style. Mac and lobster cheese was so good, I could feel american style food, I hope to recommend there. Lobster is soft, cheese was great. before you watching mlb baseball game(in case field) or nba basketball game(in talking stick arena), eat pasta in there.

We picked this because it was close to the Arizona Federal Theatre. The food was surprisingly better than I thought. We had the bruschetta, the lobster mac and cheese and the Gemelli chicken pasta. All were very good. The inside of the restaurant didn’t feel like an Italian restaurant. It had more of cheap feel to it and the music just didn’t fit at all. I think the prices are slighty high for the overall experience.

Wandered in on my own after being told to head towards the Cityscape area for more variety in Phoenix. I walked into this local Italian restaurant after bypassing what was recommended to me by hotel staff. Nice casual place with a very active vibe. Served by the owner who was a very nice and genuine guy. Provided not only good food drink and conversation but was genuinely interested in my time there as I was asking him about the greater Phoenix area . Never felt alone or out of place. Definitely would visit on a return trip.

Amazingly delicious. Some of the best Italian that I've had. We personally thanked the chef. The bread with the basil dipping oil that they bring to the table is unique and so full of flavor!

My family came here before a suns basketball game. We had never been so we were excited to try this place out. Our server came right over and asked if we wanted anything else to drink besides the waters she had already brought over, I got the sangria which was really good. She took our order and brought over their bread and oil dip which was amazing as well. Our cheesy bread came out a few minutes later and shortly after our entrees came out. My husband got the margarita pizza which he said was the best pizza he has had since our family moved to arizona. My son got a kids pizza which he loved as well. I ordered the shrimp scampi which was fantastic. It was served with linguini, capers, tomatoes, shrimp and a white wine scampi sauce. This dish was so good. Our waitress came over and checked on us frequently but it wasn't annoying, she refilled my husband's soda at the perfect time every time. She was so sweet. This place is so good, the service is great and the aromposhere is very nice.

Ok. Its a nice place but food is not Italian... its American version of it I guess... place is really downtown and parking is validated... staff are really pleasant and attentive. Great for lunch and casual evening...

My gorgeous sister and I came here on our night out and it was amazing! We ate so much food and I got to take my lobster mac home and it was delicious!! I cant wait to come back and try other things on the menu

Went there on a Friday night and there was no wait. We ordered 2 soft drinks, a delicious sautéed shrimp appetizer, 2 pasta dishes and 2 desserts for $71. Janelle our server was excellent. She made great menu recommendations. I would come here again. The restaurant has very good food, generous portions, and excellent service. The server made sure the iced tea was always topped off and even offered us to-go cups of tea to take with. (we didnt ask, he offered... Great touch!)

Food was good. I'd go back for that fact alone. The staff was young and seemed inexperienced handling a large crowd. I witnessed one server nearly dump a plate of fries and ketchup onto a customer because she was moving so fast. My pasta was good but the temperature was unbalanced...as if a portion of the plate was left outside the warming lights, lol! Had to wave the server down so she could take our meal order. I guess she thought we just wanted cocktails and appetizers.

My husband remembered this place a couple of years ago when he came here for a convention... so he recommended this place and the food was amazing and the staff was knowledgeable and polite!! Highly recommend this place if u are even in Phoenix!!

I was there just 2 nights ago and deceided to try the lobster mac-n-cheese.
What a big dissapointment. My first bite was fishy, I hate fishy. Lobster is not suppose to be fishy. tI was fishy because it was NOT lobster. Upon inspection of the "lobster", I pulled a cylinder shaped piece of food onto a clear plate to inspect.This is not lobster! I called the waiter over and said " This is not real lobster is it?".
He said, I'll check with the chef. Sure enough , the waiter confirmed it was artificial "fish", I knew it, I knew it!
I immdeiately said , take it away please. To make a long story short, I ordered the Bolognese. Yes, it was very good but I hate alone as my companions had already finished their dishes.

The Strand is Awesome. Great food and service. I will go back again when in town. When we went they were packed. Our waitress let us use a reserved table since we just needed to eat and go and would be gone before the party arrived. That is going the extra mile for your customers ♡♡

This place is great! Were taking kids to Rattlers game, pressed for time...saw this place so thought we'd try. So glad we did! We got right in, fast service, food was delicious, kid friendly, cool bar and perfect location! We'll def be going back and highly recommend this place! It was spot on for what we were looking for!

The food was good. Service sucked. The waiter was nice don't get me wrong but we were only checked on one time in over a two hour stay. If you go just know you'll have to flag the waiter down for anything.

I was excited to try a new place downtown but after being seated it took a long time to get our drinks ordered and then it was forever before they were brought to us. We then ordered dinner and people around us that ordered after us received their food before us. The food was good and there was only 2 of us but it felt as if we were the forgotten customers. We had to hunt down our waitress to get our check which almost made us late for the show.

The food and atmosphere is absolutely amazing. Walked by The Strand two days in a row before visiting. It smelled so good, my family had to stop in for dinner! Seafood Alfredo, Spring Bounty Primavera, Pizza, and the special - Green Chile Chicken Alfredo were all absolutely delicious!
The owner is also very nice and greeted us when we walked in! Two thumbs up and 5 stars from this OH girl and her family!

First of all the service was very very good… The hostess said who sent us also and up being our waitress and was very very helpful friendly and knowledgeable. We were the only ones in the whole restaurant how do we work that out? The lobster ravioli was a very good especially the sauce. It was delicious and. Was the Alfredo sauce. We will definitely go back

Good honest Italian food. Decently priced and a good selection of beers. Service very friendly. Downtown Phoenix isn't particularly lovely but you could do worse than this place.
