My husband remembered this place a couple of years ago when he came here for a convention... so he recommended this place and the food was amazing and the staff was knowledgeable and polite!! Highly recommend this place if u are even in Phoenix!!
The Strand is Awesome. Great food and service. I will go back again when in town. When we went they were packed. Our waitress let us use a reserved table since we just needed to eat and go and would be gone before the party arrived. That is going the extra mile for your customers ♡♡
Really enjoyed the food here and the ambiance as well. Service was great too! The Strand is an urban Italian restaurant on 1st downtown. Attached pics for what we ordered; Tortellini, Chicken Parm, Hamburger w/ parm fries and shrimp scampi (gluten free version).
I can only speak to the Tortellini which was fantastic, creamy sauce with bits of prosciutto throughout.
Incredible spot for dinner, the food was perfect and ambiance was everything. The food delicious and the margaritas hit the spot. The best part was the service. Jaden was on point and super quick. All in all a perfect spot to hit on any occasion. They have deals on drinks going all the time
Great food with an awesome atmosphere with stellar service! Can't go wrong here guys! I would recommend the bruchetta and the Chicken Alla Vodka.. Bomb Food with one of the most personable staff I have experienced! Go and check them out you won't be disappointed!
I eated mac and lobster cheese. Everywhere in USA, you can meet crafted beer. STRAND was looks like old mood but I thought young people also like there. They mixed new and old style. Mac and lobster cheese was so good, I could feel american style food, I hope to recommend there. Lobster is soft, cheese was great. before you watching mlb baseball game(in case field) or nba basketball game(in talking stick arena), eat pasta in there.
We picked this because it was close to the Arizona Federal Theatre. The food was surprisingly better than I thought. We had the bruschetta, the lobster mac and cheese and the Gemelli chicken pasta. All were very good. The inside of the restaurant didn’t feel like an Italian restaurant. It had more of cheap feel to it and the music just didn’t fit at all. I think the prices are slighty high for the overall experience.
Wandered in on my own after being told to head towards the Cityscape area for more variety in Phoenix. I walked into this local Italian restaurant after bypassing what was recommended to me by hotel staff. Nice casual place with a very active vibe. Served by the owner who was a very nice and genuine guy. Provided not only good food drink and conversation but was genuinely interested in my time there as I was asking him about the greater Phoenix area . Never felt alone or out of place. Definitely would visit on a return trip.
The food was excellent and so was the service. Extremely fast. Grateful for open restaurants and sad to see it so empty due to COVID-19.
Amazingly delicious. Some of the best Italian that I've had. We personally thanked the chef. The bread with the basil dipping oil that they bring to the table is unique and so full of flavor!

I recommend this place for date night. The lighting was dim and the air was relaxed. The food was promising for what I paid for.
