Mattei Family Pizza is casual, cozy, and chill. You feel like you're in Mariano's kitchen - which I guess you are! :D Mariano and his staff are very warm and welcoming. The wood fired brick oven is equally as welcoming and beautiful - it's where the magic is made.
We had the Pear Fontina pizza and the Spanish Chorizo. We had to try the Fontina because it was so different - it was delightful! If you like pepperoni pizza - you're gonna like the Chorizo even better! Can't wait to have the Arrosticini and fresh Homemade Bread next time!!!
Would highly recommend this place. You will not be disappointed. You can tell that cooking is Mariano's passion and you will taste it in the food he prepares for you.
Best wings I've ever had in my life.. Crispy and so full of flavor. The pizza is so far above any other I've tried. Insanely tasty, get out to this place tonight if you can.

I had seen some positive posts about this place but my goodness I was not prepared for how good this pizza was. Salad, wings, all delicious and came quickly. Will def be ordering again.
This place is awesome! A real Point Breeze gem. I noticed the place is actually open much earlier that 4PM which is great! Pie is awesome and they gave me a free glass of wine and a complementary cannoli. Check this place out!
One of the best cheesesteaks I’ve had in philly. The bread is seeded and has a nice coal crunch to it which I appreciated so much. The pizza has a nice coal taste with a well done crunch. My new place to visit
We’re so pleased with this place! We recently moved into the neighborhood and were excited to see a pizza place nearby… it was actually pretty great 👍 quality, Jersey style pizza that was made quickly for an affordable price. Didn’t try anything else but this will be our go-to spot for weekend pizza cravings :) thanks!
First time ordering from Mattei Family Pizza and my family was delighted. The wood-fired oven pizza does the job. All three pizzas were delicious, flavorful and the wings couldn’t be better. The guy over the phone was very kind and friendly, (big plus after having had many bad experiences) very fair prices, and on top of that they do deliver fast. Definitely ordering again.

Really enjoyed our first order! I like the potato and could even use more rosemary (the addition of sausage was excellent). I think next time just sausage and pepperoni would be good too since the plain sausage pizza was so well-seasoned. Excited to find such a great place nearby!
Their pepperoni pizza is as warm and memorable as the staff. Its my new go-to and it doesn't hurt that its a block away. Delicious pizza, moderately priced, welcoming and quick customer service. What more can you ask for?
My friend has been friends with the owner of this place since they went to high school together. He says that the owner had a passion for cooking since then, and his culinary skills demonstrate his abilities. The restaurant's menu is very simple, which is a good thing in my opinion because it means that they focus on quality rather than quantity. My favorite thing is the margherita pizza. It's simple yet tasteful. By the way, they have a wood-burning brick oven, and it's awesome to watch the pizzas cook in it.
