Overall a good experience. A little pricey but being downtown prices it's not bad. Food was good too...I got beef bibimbap bowl with brown rice and my friend got the stir fried yakisoba noodles with beef - spicy. The cashier was super friendly and she's cheerful which is greatly appreciated.
This is a nice little place serving Japanese/Korean cuisine. I had the curry chicken katsu Don for lunch today. It was delicious, although a tad bit spicy for me. As someone else mentioned earlier, this is not instant/fast food. This place is often crowded so a good time for lunch is probably around 1. They also have a good selection of Itoen green teas.
Definitely not fast food. Made fresh, ingredients are are whole foods, tastes amazing, very affordable. As someone who meal preps this is my go to when I don't have time to make something
Relatively consistent casual neighbourhood spot. If you get a rice bowl, the protein is cooked to order so I appreciate the freshness. Reasonable pricepoint for the amount and quality of food. “Spicy” is medium spicy. Staff has been fine over the course of about a dozen visits.
Small spot, so just be sure not to bring a huge group.
I got the hot spicy chicken rice bowl. I was surprised (this is my own fault for not asking, but they also don't really list a description) that it was just rice and chicken with no vegetables. Taste wise it was good, and quantity wise, as someone who eats a good amount, I was satisfied.
My mom got the bi bim bop and I think that was more worth the money because of the quantity and the variety of vegetables.
Spicy chicken breast bowl with brown rice is just fantastic. I get extra sauce and make it too hot every time but I can't help it because it's so good. Also love the shumai, although it's a little pricey for the small portion.
I recommend getting this food take out, though, because the interior of the restaurant is not inviting.
A small place, but good food. I got the chicken kimchi bowl with broccoli. Took my 8 year old, and 4 year old, the 8 year old loved his bibimbob. The staff was nice to give us an extra bowl to share with the 4 year old and some extra rice. Very pleasant people working there.
Absolutely love place. Great spot to go if you you want a quick Korean/Japanese fusion bite to eat. The people are very pleasant and the Yaki Udon Noodles are amazing but you could easily eat your way through the whole menu. I feel the one in west philly is a lot better than the one on 21st street. Must go to spot.
I'd eat it every day if I could. The spicy chicken bowl is one of my favorite dishes to ever exist. Incredibly friendly staff.
BYO bowl options available at this small, in-n-out, but tasty japanese-korean fusion spot.
Tried the spicy pork chop bowl with white rice and it was delicious.
Recommended for a quick bite.
