My parents grew up with this tomato pie when kids in Germantown. They passed it on to me. I love this place

One of my favorite pizzas. Such good value for the money. Staff is very friendly.

All time favorite tomato pie, have been eating their pies since I was in diapers! Its a family tradition to order every occasion! If you are in the greater northeast area this is a must visit! I always get a large tomato pie with mozzarella cheese on the side (great combo if you want to heat up later!) To order just give them a call! Call early if you need a pick up for same day! Always great customer service.

So, I’ve never had a tomato pie like this. Always discarded the thought of getting something like this anywhere because……..I love cheese and always thought a tomato pie needs cheese. I grew up eating Trenton tomato pies which is also obviously different. After my very first bite of Gaetas tomato pies, it totally changed my perspective! The crunch the sweetness and tang of the sauce. It was delicious! Next time I make a trip out to Philly I need to stop in and buy a pie to bring back home! Thanks for the pie Bryan!!

We were told to check out Gaeta's by some locals and we are so glad we did. Being from Florida, we had no idea what a "tomato pie" was. What is it? AMAZING. Delicious. Perfectly seasoned and fresh. Awesome guys working the counter and kitchen who were so friendly and helpful, even pointing us to different Philly locations so that we could have an authentic experience. One of these kind gentlemen even ran out to our car to give us some delicious sauce and ask if we liked it. We will point anyone we can towards this place and will make it a sure-fire stop anytime we can route to it.

Stopped into Gaeta's on my way home, after a day of trying different pizza joints. I bought a small, plain tomato pie (six squares, $8), then got talking to the friendly guy running the store for a while. He alone made it worth going back!
There is no place to eat inside, so I took my pie back to my car parked on Castor Avenue and ate a few slices while standing there. The tomato pie squares (slices) were served warm. The sweet sauce was alive with tomato flavor and made it difficult to not eat more! There was no cheese on this particular version, but the combination of flavorful sauce and thin, crispy crust made it the perfect way to end a day!
Definitely make it a point to give Gaeta's a try, and be sure to say Hi to the owner!
