Effie's

Thanks to Effie's for accommodating our large group for a team reunion dinner! We were seated in a beautiful side space off the patio and had excellent and attentive service from Juliet. The grilled pita, souvlaki plates (we tried all 3!) and red pepper hummus and olives on the sampler plate were highlights. Will definitely be coming back to try the highly recommended homemade baklava!

Staff was very friendly and more important the food was outstanding. Spanakopita, Effie's Chicken and Feta Pistachio dishes purchased at our table. I tried all three and would order everyone again. Our entire party enjoyed the food very much. Nice place with seating options inside and out. We were greeted very nicely upon entering and staff was very friendly throughout. Service started off good but slowed during our stay. Food took a bit longer than expected but was piping hot upon arrival. Biggest problem was getting our bill. I went to get our bill 15-20 minutes after server said she would bring the bill. It looked like she was working a lot of carry out orders. The food was so good I would definitely try again.

Charming little spot, I think the main dining area, outside, and the back room would each be a unique way to experience Effie's and depending on your party. Rough cut produce and inconsistently warmed pita gives a family feeling. Generous portions for an inexpensive price. I would regularly get the lamb sandwich if I were local.

Cute little BYOB downtown. I love Greek food and there’s is very good. I wouldn’t say best ever but it is solid. I love the outdoor dining, it’s a quiet little alleyway. I think they could use more vegetarian entrees. We love the saganaki, pastichicio pasta dish. I also had Greek salad and chicken slouvaki platter and both were very fresh and well cooked. The pita they give is excellent and fresh out of the oven.

My friend and I had dinner there and it was my first time in Effie’s Restaurant. We ordered appetizers dolmades and saganaki cheese. Dolmades was dry but not bad at all. Saganaki cheese was really good. My main course Mousaka was good but the portion wasn’t big for me. My friend got Keftedes with Orzo and he loved it. They have indoor also outdoor seating and the atmosphere was great. Our waitress Angie was very friendly and kind. It’s BYOB restaurant and their spot is just great.
