This place had a great atmosphere and food, but the meat portions were small and you could not pay with card. They said the card machine was down, but other reviewers said the same thing so I think they are just lying about the card machine. Additionally, they automatically include an 18% top that is non-negotiable. Aside from these things, the place is well decorated. It’s like traveling to Morocco. The food was flavorful and delicious. First entree was cucumber salad, carrots and eggplant. Second dish was filo, egg, almond, sugar and cinnamon (this was delicious). Third dish was a ½ chicken (to split between 2 people). Fourth dish was lamb (very small portion). Fifth dish was couscous. Sixth dish was fruit. Seventh dish was mint tea and 1 slice of baklava. Overall it was a cute place, but I didn’t like them forcing you to pay with cash and adding an automatic tip. Fyi the drinks were super cheap and it’s BYOB. $35 pp for the meal.

I had a great experience here for my birthday dinner. The staff are very friendly and hospitable, they take you to an authentic Moroccan trip. The belly dancer is also very much fun. They are BYOB so help yourself. Totally worth it, great experience! Very attentive in refilling your water and pita. You should see by yourself i cant do the justice about the beauty of decoration and authenticity of everything.

You have to eat here!! They only have a 7-course set menu that’s 30 (a bit less than 40 after tax and tip), but the portion is very very generous and every course is amazing! First course is three kinds of salad, second is pastilla, third is chicken, fourth is tangine lamb or beef, fifth is couscous, sixth is fruit and seventh is baklava and tea. Everything is very delicious and authentic. The Moroccan hospitality and cozy decor take me back to my time in Morocco. This place has been open for 50+ years and there are def so many reasons why it’s been so loved. It’s a truly gem. Service, food, atmosphere all perfect. Everyone in our group loved this place (some never had Moroccan food before). The portion in my pic is for 4. Please do yourself a favor and come with friends and family!! My hubby said this place was totally worth the 1.5 hours drive from NYC alone.

Omg, this place is amazing! So much food, I couldn't eat after the 3rd course because I was stuffed. The place looks tiny but it's like magic, people come in non stop and somehow everyone fits. The menu is prefix. When you enter and are seated, the staff provides a large towel, the bring warm water to wash your hands. The salad was first, it was delicious. I couldn't stop eating the carrots! So good! Then a puff pastry type dish, next was a half chicken followed by lamb, then cous cous, fresh fruit, and desert with warm tea. I want to move in and live there because of how good it was. There was a belly dancer that was a nice surprise. So fun! We have been to many restaurants being we did the 52 international restaurants in 52 weeks. This was the first to serve alcohol and also allow byob. This is definitely one of the top 3 restaurants we have been to. We will definitely return. Btw, the staff could not have been nicer, or more efficient. Great job everyone!

Food was good, tasted fresh. Most of the courses were sweetened, with either honey or sugar or raisins. Some people would love it, it was just not what I’m accustomed to. It’s dark and loud but a good time. Staff was super super friendly, price was well worth it. Bring cash if you can, their cc machine went down and I had to hit the atm for my bill.

This was my first time dining here. The food was flavorful and plentiful, and everyone in my party enjoyed it. My favorite courses were the lemon chicken and pastilla. The lighting was moody and the lanterns and decor made me reminisce on my trips to Morocco. It is a very small restaurant so it's tight in there, which some people may not like but I found it lent a cozy feel to it. I will say, I felt they could have been more attentive with refilling our waters and I did not like that you have to wait for someone to unlock the door before leaving. I assume it is for safety reasons but it was little unusual to see in a restaurant. Overall though, I enjoyed the meal and I would likely go back.

10/10 recommend Marrakesh. We came here after a recommendation from a friend. The environment is beautiful, the staff friendly (extra shout-out to Kais, who was so outgoing and friendly), and the food was perfect. We were definitely not able to finish all 7 courses as two people 😅 The price point was very good too, we spent $85 in total for two people, and that includes one drink for both of us (corona and rose drink) and the 18% tip. We will definitely be returning!

Marrakesh restaurant is a very authentic and unique restaurant near South Street. They have a 7 course dinner menu which offers you a lot of food. They have indoor and also outdoor dining areas. The outdoor dining area was very charming and I preferred sitting outside. When I had a seat, immediately my server brought rose water and I washed my hands on the table. It was a truly different experience and I really liked it. The food was extremely amazing and portions were great. It was a lot of food with very reasonable price. They served course one eggplant sauce, carrots and cucumber salad with tomatoes. Course two was eggs nuts with chicken which was so delicious. Course three was roasted chicken, course four was tajne of lamb with almonds and honey. They were both really tasty and tender. Course five was couscous with vegetables, course six was fruit bowl and finally course seven was baklava and mint tea. I finished all of them and felt extremely full by the end of my dinner. The service was great and both servers just wanted to make you feel comfortable. The atmosphere of the restaurant was just fantastic. The music was nice and belly dancing show was very entertaining. They have drinks menu and also it’s BYOB. I really liked this Moroccan restaurant and definitely go back again soon. Highly recommend!

This place is amazing! The portions for food for 3 people felt huge and it just kept coming. They did have a belly dancer and it was a 5 course menu with fruit, baklava, and mint tea at the end
