Everything was just perfect. The food, the server, being welcomed and greeted when we walked in, the atmosphere, and how cute the interior is! I am definitely coming back as my first experience with bf was amazing :) Got Toro tartare to start. It was delicious! The smooth tuna with great peanut sauce. For entrees got the sushi combo for $75. We got a variety of fish. The fresh wasabi is truly a gem. The hot stone bop (got buri yellowtail) was overflowing with flavor. My bf absolutely loved the rice hot stone pot. It's similar to Korean bibimbap. The cheesecake we ended with for dessert was great too. The prices are very reasonable in my opinion for a la cart.

The sushi here is unique , have not tasted sushi like this elsewhere and I know I will be disappointed anywhere else I go. Try the beef wagyu dumplings , I don’t really like beef but these taste phenomenal. Also for sushi the yellow tail is one of my favorites! Ask for Evan as your server . Really cool decor in the restaurant as well but the sushi is the real winner here

We had Omakase at the bar and it was excellent! The food was innovative. They combined foods and prepared ingredients in ways I’ve never seen before. All the dishes played with combining different flavor profiles and textures like sweet and salty or crunchy and smooth. The service was knowledgeable and polite. I definitely would recommend coming here sometime.

I am a lover of Japanese food, and coming to Morimoto was a long awaited dream come true! I was not disappointed! Everything we had was excellent. The service was exceptional, the staff was super friendly and every dish was delectable. It is very pricey but if you are celebrating or just feel like eating the best food ever… choose this place!

This place was amazing. We went for our wedding anniversary and they exceeded our expectations. I only mentioned our special occasion via open table and they wished us a Happy Anniversary when they seated us and before we left with a beautiful sorbet dessert! The food and the setting was beautiful highly recommend!

I came here lastnight as it was my first time in Philly and my girlfriend made reservations for here. At first I was skeptical because I don’t eat raw sushi but I know the name as an iron chef so I wanted to try it and it was EXCEPTIONAL. 10/10 highly recommend, it amazing and the sushi and food was so fresh. Everything from the ambience to the service it was completely 10/10.

My wife recommended this restaurant to me for our trip to Philly, and I can proudly say I wasn't disappointed. Everything looked lovely, the food was superb, and the wait staff were excellent and attentive. They even brought us a special dessert when they learned that we had been married for only a few days at that point. I would gladly eat here again on a return visit!
