The Back Lot Beer Garden

This was our first visit to TBL. There’s a decent amount of paid parking in the surrounding area, we came on a Monday afternoon and had no problems parking. There’s about 7 food trucks total, 3 were open on our visit. We chose the taco truck, Happys Tacos. SO GOOD!! Friendly staff, great beer and drink selection, a variety of seating options. For tacos we tried the crispy shrimp, spicy pork and chilaquiles- all great and nothing was too spicy for my mild spicy palate. Can’t wait to return.

One of the best places for a chill, casual meal or drink. The atmosphere is great, with community tables, Adirondack chairs, and food trucks, outside a great bar with an excellent selection of beer, wine, cider, seltzer, and cocktails. The food trucks are all unique, with great quality food. The staff does a good job of keeping the whole lot very clean, and service at the bar. Overall a great place for a low-key get-together for drinks or a meal.

This hidden gem was the perfect place to spend a Saturday afternoon! My husband and I were in town this weekend for a wedding and we stumbled upon the back lot by chance between the wedding and the reception. First off the concept is brilliant. There's something for everyone with all the super cute food trucks and shipping freights. We loved the atmosphere, it was super chill and we met some lovely locals. We sampled some beer and sat out in the Muskoka chairs and it was a perfect way to spend an afternoon! I wished we lived closer because we would definitely be regular customers! Great concept and fun atmosphere! We can't wait to make another trip back.
