Just Falling off The Bone!. Ribs were the most tender that I have found in Pensacola. I don't eat BBQ out often, so I still have many places in town to try. The space is fun, and we had a business lunch outside in the heat, but the food is worth it.
Burger was a totally homemade patty that was also fantastic. This will be a great go to burger spot from now on. Homemade lemonade was also very good.
It's a one man show, and he cooks every day until its gone, so operating hours are not carved in stone.
Aint no full like Phil's full. Hands down the best bbq (and other assorted food that Phil cooks thats not even on the menu) I have ever had in my life. The service is a one man cooking machine named Phil who not only gives you great helpings of food (usually for under 10 dollars) but also great helpings of friendship. Never once have I gone to Phil's Jazzy BBQ without iron chef Phil giving us a good conversation, blessing the food, and bringing out a big ol' jug of sweet tea. If you have not tried Phil's Jazzy BBQ, then I recommend you do so. Come hungry and don't plan on eating for the rest of the day.
Keep it jazzy. Phil's Jazzy Bar-B-Q is the best place I have ever eaten in my entire life. Good food and good conversation are guaranteed with every visit. Hands down, its the best place to eat this side of the Mississippi River... maybe the other side, too.
This is the definition of a "hole in the wall." Very unassuming building, a locked security door that had to be unlocked before I could come in, and an odd interior for a restaurant. What I ended up with was one of the best porkchop dinners I have ever had. The sides of greens and mac and cheese were also made perfectly. Of everything that was so good, this man has sweet tea down to a science. I will be going back for lunch as often as I can, and will bring a 5 gallon bucket I hope I can pay him enough to fill full of that tea!
Mr. Phil goes above and beyond for his Customer's. I've been a Proud Support of his for 10 years or better. He doesn't disappoint when it comes to the kitchen and getting You Your Food. Always had a Heart of Gold with Great Hospitality. Thank You so much for Your Service. Good be snacking good. 😁💋🥰

He has great food and the only place in Pensacola to get rib tips. Definitely recommend this place.
I called Phil and asked about his ribs on voicemail - he called me back and we talked. We worked something out and I drove by for pickup, zero effort on my part. Phil met me at the front door with my order immediately. Got home to an incredibly tender and flavorful batch of ribs (zesty style). My wife couldn’t help but ask for some (there was a lot) and even she, who really doesn’t care for ribs, was over the moon about how tender and flavorful they are.
I wish I had asked about the sides (I didn’t) but based on the BBQ ribs I can tell you that this is truly genuine southern barbecue and I’ll go back again and again.
My family has Celiac, Phil (If he IS the original Phil. Lol.) Triple checked his ingredients to make sure that what he was feeding us would cause no harm. Great ribs and the best Smoked Sausage ever.
Friendly, neighborhood barbeque joint with the owner in the house, cooking. Don't let the building size fool you, there's big flavor in there. Not a lot of room for sitting inside, but it's great for lunch takeout or on those nights you don't want to cook... シ
